Not a prayer he’s staying unless Rahic fills him full of bullshit in which case he’ll quit halfway through the season instead.

He wants to stay but if he wants the infrastructure improving on top of having a competitive playing budget all on the back of reduced season ticket sales, he won't be. One thing he is doing though is putting our owners under pressure to invest their own money. If they are not going to do it now when we've got a manger with 4 league 1 promotions on his record, they never are. Regardless of how next season pans out, atleast we'll know where we stand as a fanbase and what to expect for the rest of Rahic's and Rupp's reign. www.thetelegraphandargus.co.uk/sport/16190709.Grayson_won__39_t_drag_his_feet_over_Bantams_decision/The closer it gets to the last game of the season the more apparent it becomes that what Grayson wants is not what he is going to get. I bet he already has his agent sounding out possible opportunities. Shame because he would do a good job for us, but there is no money. and having seen what happened at Sunderland he isn't going to put himself in that position again when their are easier vacancies coming up.

Just reading that Grayson is the new favourite at sky bet for the Scunthorpe job. I'm on my knees praying that this happens. Forum world and social media would be in meltdown. It would be like picking gompers off with a sniper rifle from 100 yards, do it Grayson. I want him to walk off Glanford Park after the final whistle holding a claret and blue scarf over his head, and in the post match press conference calls Rahic a cockwomble and tells the media the scunthorpe job is his dream job.

He'd be mad not to take the Scunthorpe job. He'll be expected to deliver promotion for both clubs, only at Scunthorpe he'll get actually get backed to do the job. A no brainier really.

‘I’ve not just come here to settle for 10th or 12th position, I want to make sure I’ll have all the tools needed to push for promotion’
There it is. As black and white as it could possibly be. On TV with sky. He goes, it’s because we’re not willing to provide those tools. No ifs or buts

The owners now have, or have had 2 major opportunities to invest and take a calculated gamble. The first time was at the end of their first season. Additional income recieved, a game away from promotion and 20k season ticket holders. They now have a second opportunity: We have a manager with arguably the best league 1 record there is and 4 promotions from this division shows that if you give him the tools to succeed, he'll deliver. We may never get such great opportunities again. We've wasted the first one, let's not waste the 2nd one. If we do, it's safe to say that we're fucked long term.

I wonder if he might have talked himself out of any longer deal? Some of his aggressive / critical comments may well piss of the owners and they might want more of a yes man. Grayson saying how shit the team is more than once is telling them they fucked up recruitment.

Grayson saying how shit the team is more than once is telling them they fucked up recruitment. The best way to move forward is to accept the mistakes and try to rectify them. If Rahic and Rupp have any sense, they'll view this as a positive. My worry atm is that they actually believe we have built a talented squad capable of promotion and the fact that we were 3rd probably deludes them even further.

Grayson saying how shit the team is more than once is telling them they fucked up recruitment. This is my biggest criticism of Rahic. I can accept mistakes, especially those made through inexperience. It's the repeating of the same mistakes, through vanity and hubris, and the contempt for supporters evident in the clubs PR that i can't stomach

Interesting one. There continues to be hints of problems that are shrouded in confidentiality. "This club has probably had problems going back over a number of years." Seems a bit mad really, under Parkinson we were a club on the up so it's hard to relate that to us having problems presumably occurring in the background whilst we were doing well on a Saturday. We all know about the pitch scenario but Grayson seems to be suggesting there are other issues lurking around. All very intriguing.

‘Whether I’m here or not.’ Repeat ad infinitum.
‘Simon, we know you’re leaving but if we bung you a bit of a bonus will say some nice stuff in the paper?’

‘Problems for a number of years’
The pitch Short term thinking re tying down our best players to longer contracts Sponsors paying less than the going rate A shit match day experience for fans Sub par corporate offering (though that’s improving) Not the best PR A disjointed office regimen - ticket fiascos etc Training facilities have improved but won’t exactly be cutting edge Poor youth setup Our lack of ‘partnership’ with the north west’s footballing giants and inability to tap into their loan setup Limited scouting system

"You have to focus on the main things that a football club needs – and that is the first team."
I imagine this is crucial to him staying. Edin needs to shelve the youth bollocks.

I don't think its bollocks but run it at Youth level not a development squad. I presume that's why we have seen him bring on the likes of Staunton and Hawked so that Grayson can say I can do it without a development squad.
