I forgot to do this last night due to being absolutely hammered so here it is: 25/1: 1.25 26/1: 2.5 27/1: 2.4375 What was it that led you to the demon drink? Boredom. Played Cards Against Humanity last night. It wasn't anywhere near as sick and depraved as I'd been led to believe.

Build your side properly in the summer. Add a couple of loans in January where you need tweaks, cover, or to add that extra, special player to make a difference. It's not that fucking complicated. As you suggest, it wasn't that complicated last summer either .. but between them, they still managed to collectively balls it up. And that isn't speaking with the benefit of hindsight; some 'amateur managers' even identified the issue before last summer's window had slammed shut.

I think Lund and Dennis will make us better from an attacking perspective. We've failed to address the issues at the back though which should have been a priority.
Overall rating: 6

Wyke, Jones, Taylor, Mcarten, Poleon, Brunker, Dennis
We've got 7 players who can cover 2 positions and no decent Centre Back or backup keeper. Oh dear...

McGowan is equally at Home as right sided centre back as full back so as long as McMahon stays we are covered there. We can not possibly have four keepers on the books we are just going to have to hope Doyle stays fit. we have Strenghened all over the pitch it’s up to Stuart now to give it a go

Just been reading your surprise surprise moan on the other channel. You talk about how we were promised an eye opening signing this quote came from someone on there who couldn’t provide a link. they have brought in 6 signings when we were promised 3 or 4. And strengthened most areas of the pitch. I think you go on about the owners to deflect any blame for anything from Stuart. The fact is he was let down a little bit by not getting these signings early enough. But now he has no excuses we need to see a big improvement Quickly.

By 'decent' i meant good quality. Is McGowan a good quality Centre Back? I already know your answer, so we'll have to agree to disagree.

I don’t know how good he is but the comments from Stuart suggests that he is very good. And Ric will tell you it must be right

he's a right back. he could do a job at centre half but lets not pretend we've signed a specialist centre back.
In January we have lost Field and Hendrie, we've been without Chicksen and McMahon all month. we've let Thompson return to Bury. what we've done is waited til the last day of the month (after chucking away 12 points) and then added a 36 year old left back on loan, and a right back that can't get a game in the UAE.
Stuart is far from blameless in this, I'll agree with you there, but theres no way he's solely to blame for the bad run, or any failure to achieve promotion.
this bad run is such that I find it hard to believe it's down to the manager, and the dressing room - at the end of last month, home to Oxford we looked a good side, getting results, challenging for top two - and after that we've suddenly lost every match. The collapse has been that abrupt and than extreme that it goes beyond Stuart and the squad - something in the club turned the atmosphere absolutely poisonous - now I don't know exactly what that is, I know what I think it is - and I think Stuart is on a hiding to nothing trying to rectify the situation.

Warnock has fantastic experience and that counts for a lot McGowan is obviously a Stuart signing and he has been very positive about him. With Lund and Guy in midfield and Guy showed on Saturday he can stand in at fullback. And we have a lot of choice up front. I think by anybody’s standard we have Strengthened well better late than never. And once again transfer fee payed for a player we wanted something previous managers could only dream of

well unlike some people I haven't been blinded by the fact we're paying transfer fees for players.
that doesn't make The German bastards immune to criticism.

All they do is get players of a similar standard that you can pick up on a free out of their contracts early. We're not doing anything revolutionary or anything that will guarantee success over and above what picking up players whose contracts have expired would. Getting a kick out of spending money transfer fees only indicates how easily pleased we've become. It also conveniently ignores the fact that we've become the Ebeneezer Scrooge of basic wage payers.

I've gone from disappointed to bemused. It was a diabolical window before today and Dennis doesn't make it a good one. Seven fucking strikers and vulnerable to injuries and poor form everywhere else.
It's not a window to arrest a slump. I might move it up to a three from a two for effort but I'm still singularly unimpressed.

Do you remember a couple of years a go we signed Proctor in January. We would probably have been in the Championship now had we been able to splash the cash on a Wyke
