The bloke who wrote it is the Southend rep for the athletic and seems to be a fan so you gotta believe he's right with the Southend bit. If only Bermondsey was around to find out about Scunny

Sorry for the slow response but yes, that is the article and the journalist who wrote it.

Sparks reads the forums so a quick Twitter or club website refutal should be along shortly.

"He said, as far as he was aware, the Bantams were one of only two League Two clubs to vote against the proposals"
As far as he was aware? This is going to get messy...
Hope not, but Sparks may be made to look daft twice; first with saying Vaughan won't leave on the cheap and now possibly this after all the bollocks before the cap vote.

Also says Southend believed to be one of the two: Odd they don’t cite us given we were so vociferously against it prior to the vote.

Looks like it's journalist error and he's going to amend it.

I think he's saying there was still just 2 but Southend definitely voted against it, and he had 2 separate sources saying it was Scunny but on production of the press release from city has backtracked and said he completely missed that and would need to change it

I still reckon he's right, Southend he confirms. So that leaves us and Scunny who both said they'd be voting against, somebody's had a change of heart, it's just a question of who. I know who I suspect....

With how adamant and vocal the club have been about voting against it I suspect they may have actually voted against it. It still doesn’t mean they didn’t really want it to get voted in.. It’s easy to vote for something you know isn’t got to win.. good PR stunt really

It’s easy to vote for something you know isn’t got to win.. good PR stunt really That’s the main problem with the idea the club actually voted for it. They could have voted against in almost complete confidence there’d be a majority for it anyway. It would take balls the size of peanuts to not take that risk.

Scunny definitely voted for it despite their opposition to it And yet thats what some were gonna attack City with. Voting for something despite oppsing it is a cunts trick.

Scunny chairman wants out so makes sense he’d vote for it, and just tell fans you’re against it knowing the vote isn’t being made public. I thought with Baldwin going in the EFL would start making more sense and stop being less shit!
