Which begs the question, what was the point of the vaccines? Exactly. This shit ain't changing. Every high risk demographic now pretty much vaccinated in full, pressure off the NHS, but still nothings open, no travel, summer hols cancelled, expectation setting that we'll need to lock down again next autumn and winter, and that face masks and social distancing could be needed for 'years'. Police controls heightened. Even now, my daughters school are sending year groups home again at the first hint of a positive test. The whole things fucked. And the control system is set. All you need to do is look beyond the obvious. For example, talk of plain clothes officers in pubs if and when any reopen. Thats fuck all to do with women safety, its just a vehicle for policing of the last bastion of being able to speak freely. And if and when they need another topic to enforce the control narrative, they'll just pivot to climate change. Life is never, ever going back to what we recognised it as.

Way too much crazy shit going down and its only gonna get worse. I find myself thinking back to the late 80s early 90s and how we lived then to how we live now and i genuinely feel sorry for the younger generation.I know its open to debate but life was way easier back then, yes there were different problems back then but the world today sems to be one big fuck up.

And the new powers to clamp down on protests are just a coincidence.

Yep. 'Temporary' powers extended, new legislation cooked up... The police state is coming. Maybe not in the 1984 sense, but when they can turn new laws on and off and extend at will we should all be a bit anxious.

Another day another variant. The way this virus mutates it’s like no virus in the history of evolution. Or it’s like every virus in the history of evolution; one of the two.

I think there are two camps dividing significantly, ones that backs the police and ones that question what they actually do. Generally the ones that back them are the everyday folk who don't really ask questions and obey every command they are given. I'd have put myself in that category years ago but for a long time i've questioned what the role of the police is in society. Theres a big difference between bobbies on the beat and detectives, the bobbies on the beat achieve little, certainly in the couple of ocassions i've asked for their help. And thats why we need to ask questions as to the their role in every day life. Because i think we are now very close to anarchy that could eclipse the days of the poll tax troubles. I feel sorry for the cops on the front line, they've been hung out to dry. I listened to Sadiq Khan on the O'Brien show the other day and not one person at the top takes any responsibilty for what is going on, they all just blame each other. And if Johnson renages on the dates he's set to lift lockdown the dam will crack.

What will they do when they run out of countries? Find one on the International Space Station. The funny thing about all these new ‘worrying’ variants is that they seem to disappear without trace before being replaced in the danger stakes by a new one mapped somewhere else. It keeps people thinking that dangerous mutant strains are popping up without ever having to have any of them actually amount to anything. Got to keep the fear up though.

About the only thing that’s giving me any hint of hope at the minute is the small number of people who are currently devotees of ‘ the measures’ who are saying that come the June deadline they’re done. Masks off and back to normal. No more deadlines being dangled then snatched. If enough people take that attitude we’ve got a chance of returning to some semblance of normality. Other than that I don’t see much hope of us ever escaping this shit.

Other than that I don’t see much hope of us ever escaping this shit. Most of Bradford is already at that point, unless you are one of the brainwashed law abiders i talked about ( usually public sector workers) then most of inner city Bradford haven't bothered with social distancing measures for a while now. I'll give you an example, the wife has left the cycle club she was in after recieving yet another snotty nosed email warning regarding conduct of corona rules while out riding. This time there were three of them in a private photo on a facebook page, only the wife had the club kit on. Technically you are only allowed two riders together apparently, even though the photo doesn't actually show any bikes and wasn't posted on the clubs social media. Yeah thats what we've come to, even at that level we have snitches searching facebook to find non existent evidence so they can take the '130,000' deaths moral highground. We're at breaking point, could be an interesting summer when the nights get light and temperatures go up.

It reminds me of one of those information films you used to watch at school where the world’s cheapest actors would tell you not to make babies or that burgers give you zits.
