It reminds me of one of those information films you used to watch at school where the world’s cheapest actors would tell you not to make babies or that burgers give you zits. Hahaha I don't know what's worse, them actually pushing that shit or the acting. Fuck me.

There's me here looking like Gargamel and our glorious 0.5 manager has a lovely cut and set.
Clearly part of the elite imposing Draconian lockdown measures on the serfs while helping himself to an exquisite hairdo.

Johnson not ruling out a "no jab no pint" ruling where pubs will ask for proof of vaccination before entry.
He's not drinking in the pubs I am if he thinks they'd even begin to entertain that.

I don’t see that withstanding a legal challenge. He also assumes the support of publicans who he’s basically spent the last twelve months shitting on. Personally I’ll drink where they don’t ask for a tiny peek at my medical records which, no doubt, will be my local.

Absurd or not, it'll happen. Not necessarily just pubs, but the idea of having a digital vaccination certificate as a pre condition for entry to certain venues, and to travel, and possibly even for employment purposes, is coming. 100% its coming, I called this last year.

Digital footprint innit? 6 months ago or something a few people scoffed at me suggesting we're going to see an end to the cash in hand economy, everything will be digital, there'll be a record of everything you've bought or looked at online. Even if it doesn't come about strictly like that, it goes hand in hand - digital records of everyone and everything. It's heading towards what China do with their, what's it called, social credit system? E.g You said something naughty on twitter that one time 12 years ago, it means you can't get a mortgage as the bank won't want to be associated with you. Or that one time you called the Tories cunts on Facebook even though your setting are private - might stop you getting that new job one day.

That’s exactly where its going, and it’ll make it even more difficult for the working classes to break out of that class.

Another day another variant. The way this virus mutates it’s like no virus in the history of evolution. Or it’s like every virus in the history of evolution; one of the two. It's bang average mate. Flu has a faster mutation rate than coronavirus and the vaccine mfrs do a reasonable job of keeping up with that. Also, a lot of these variants share mutations - there's clearly only so many evolutionary paths the virus can take so it's not like there'll be some eternal game of whack-a-mole where they have to chase a constant stream of brand new mutations. NYT has a tracker and you can see of 6 mutations that help the virus spread, 5 of them appear in several variants: www.nytimes.com/interactive/2021/health/coronavirus-variant-tracker.html Brazil and South Africa variants share at least two of these common mutations. The vaccines are less effective against the variants than against the old school covid but they still prevent hospitalisations and deaths. The US is apparently rife with variants and the latest AstraZeneca trial still managed "100% efficacy against severe or critical disease and hospitalisation" in trial participants. Reducing the risk of dying or being seriously ill is good enough for me, and I'd have thought it'd be good enough for the majority of people. I've followed their rules. I've stayed, home, protected the NHS, and saved lives. That was my side of the bargain and I've kept to it. If they expect me to stay in once they've vaccinated everyone who wants a jab they're going to be disappointed.

These sentiments are appearing more and more and it’s honestly looking like our only chance of ever getting back to normal. Enough people take this attitude and we’ve got a chance. Too many perma-muzzled idiots shouting ‘granny killer’ at anyone who enters their six foot force field and we’re fucked forever.

I'm not advocating violence, but... there needs so be more of what they tried to play down in Bristol the other week. It needs action - I read it was 30 years since the poll tax riots last week - if the goalposts change and we're back here again physical action needs taking. Everything gets dressed up as saving lives, saving the NHS etc, I'm not a Covid denier but it looks like a land (power, business) grab in terms of what powers have been rushed through and can seemingly now be turned on when wanted. Too many cunts out there - politicians and their murky links, businesses, the super rich -the same sort who too advantage of the Brexit campaign are doing the same with this now.

I'm fully vaccinated (I got in early cos of my job) and the idea of vaccination passports and all that shit is batshit mental, even if we are at a stage where everyone who can get a jab has got a jab. I've had my jabs and I've got no intention of telling some barman all about it to get a pint. Locking young people out of pubs in May is fucking stupid, even by Boris Johnson's standards. I'm going to say it's going to go as far as his idea of building a tunnel to Ireland, with a roundabout literally under my house, but meh. You'll get some cunts who will say it for publicity, you'll get some cunts who are so terrified they'll go along with it, but most people won't. I think it will be a condition of travel insurance, etc, and some countries will insist on it at passport control. I'd be more worried about the Tories setting up internet spying and the upcoming law effectively banning protest. The papers aren't reporting on this, oddly: www.wired.co.uk/article/internet-connection-records-ip-act
