I thought they said there would have to be a parliamentary vote before any new lockdown? Because the previous 2 worked so well.
Ah, they can call it 'Tier 4' and get around it.
Our borders are still open for incoming flights though.
Meanwhile, life in Wuhan is apparently back to normal. What are they doing so differently to us and why don't we just copy it instead of these rolling tier rules?
At this point now, I'm wondering how many people - mostly in business, politics, power etc - and whatever extended links they have are starting to benefit from these rulings. It's no surprise certain big companies have done very well (more so now its Christmas) while others have been wiped out, and that it seems a government can impose near tyrannical rulings on a population with no opposition to it.
Its like Brexit. Its dragged on fo so long in the manner it has there are a certain number of elites who are manipulating it for their own advantage

They made the fuck sure people stayed in their flats if they might have had it. Johnson doesn’t like upsetting people though so he’s half arsed it all the way through. You can debate how bad the virus is, whether we all need to be locked up and whatever, but if you come down on the side of it’s bad and we need to limit travel then you need to go hard, early and long enough to cover incubation and contagiousness, none of these pissing about on the edges. Boris is a pussy.

Boris is a pussy. I read a theory the other day that there’s a lot of inherent, pre-existing SARS-COV immunity in the Chinese population and that their lockdown was even more unnecessary than ours.

London goes into tier 4 so every journalist and their dog wants all of England in lockdown.
The 'journalism' in this country is fucking laughable, they should be ashamed of themselves.

Not wanting to sound morbid but has anyone got a link to a decent casualty tracker? Preferably with graphs. Trying to get a handle on where we are in relation to other countries at similar points in the timeline is proving difficult. This is when his graph wanking started. Graph wanker.

An anonymous blog post referencing the usual circlejerk of bottom-feeders. Yes, they even found room for Mike Yeadon, who wears a hat, a hat, he wears a tinfoil hat. I wouldn't trust most governments to run me a hot bath, never mind run a global conspiracy.

Thread: We’re setting the tiers and locking people down with data this fucking shit. PCR tests aren't as reliable as they should be, but the problem is the false negative rate not the false positive rate. It's why easing lock downs based on testing negative is such a stupid idea, as Jersey have so brilliantly shown in recent weeks. Where I live it's 14 days and we jail people who breach it. As a result, I'm writing this in the pub with a pint and Newcastle v Liverpool on the telly.
