Why did our fawning MSM look so visibly relieved when the election was ‘called’? First time i’ve seen any of them crack a smile since 2016. Isn’t it just weird how it all dovetails... 3 years of TDS, coups etc. Anti Brexit hysteria. Then, just in the nick of time, a Scamdemic appears. Perfect pretext for postal voting, lack of oversight at counts due to socail distancing etc. The most statistically improbable election ‘win’ outside of a banana republic. Biden ‘elected’, the sucker punch to unravel Brexit and end resistance to lockdowns. Orwellian pipes dreams being implemented in lockstep throughout the world in real time. As petty authortarians circle jerk in unison Covid is the gift that keeps on giving. The golden goose I think theres a sinister agenda behind covid. But the idea that a global economic and social meltdown has been engineered just to get Trump out is too much. They could have done it very easily just by finding a better candidate than Biden. Not that Biden will be at the helm for long. I give it 6 months max before Harris takes over.

TBH nothing seems off the table at the moment. 12 months ago if you said they’d be rolling global lockdowns, drones harassing dog walkers, people banned from buying ‘non essentail items’, curfews, old people dying alone in carehomes ‘for their own protection’ then you’d have been labelled a crazy conspiracy theorist

I wonder why Twitter weren’t so eager to ‘fact check’ the baseless russian interference claims re Trump and Brexit? Because the whole investigation proved they weren't baseless? They said Trump wasn't behind it, which isn't the same thing at all. I do love a good conspiracy theory though. The lizard people let Trump win and let Brexit happen because they forgot how to cheat, then suddenly remembered how to cheat for a 77 year old man whose sole marketing feature is not being Donald Trump. I do love the phrase "MSM", because I don't trust Rupert Murdoch but do trust The Canary or someone on 8Chan.

Isn’t MSM usually something confined to a sex dungeon?

Surely the whole russiagate thing was the definition of a conspiracy theory. Just as the notion that Brexit was cooked up by a bunch of tax dodging bankers and sleazy businessmen in the back of Nigel Farage's Limo. I'm not sure you can cherry pick which conspiracy theories you choose to riducule and which you don't. The point is twitter is 99% conjecture, unverified assertions and baseless opinions, yet only non woke or pro Trump tweets seem to get flagged or 'fact checked'. By "MSM" i generally mean either government controlled media or big the corporate monopolies who have a vested interest in maintaining the status quo. I'm wasn't claiming the so called independent media are any better or worse. Any cunt can set up a youtube channel or a blog. Although at least they offer some diversity of opinion.

They never get things wrong are have nefarious motives, do they? And wasn't the Mueller report thrown out because of unreliable witnesses affiliated with the Clintons? Next you'll be saying WMDs were real.

But the idea that a global economic and social meltdown has been engineered just to get Trump out is too much. They could have done it very easily just by finding a better candidate than Biden. Not that Biden will be at the helm for long. I give it 6 months max before Harris takes over. Considering the way the media, political and cultural establishments have mobilised against Trump, i certainly wouldn't dismiss the idea of a rigged election out of hand. I don't claim to be infallible, but the way it unfolded on election night and the way it looked nailed on for Trump. It would have taken statistically near impossible swings in key states for him to lose. A swing to Biden in Pennsylvania at that point would looked as likely as City signing a decent striker. As i said before, Trump wasn't against absentee voting per se. He was simply calling out the practice states of sending out postal ballots to everyone on the electoral role, regardless of whether or not people were deceased or have since changed addresses. And regardless of whether or not they request them. This is a recipe for abuse. There are countless documented cases of postal vote fraud in the UK and our laws are stricter. It's just that generally postal votes don't account for a big enough percentage of the total vote to swing elections, except in a handful of seats. This election was unique in that 100m people voted early therefore postal votes have a much greater effect on the outcome, which is why it should rightly be scrutinised. Regarding Biden getting the nomination, i guess he was seen as a 'safer' bet than Bernie Sanders. They didn't want to alienate centrists. I'm not sure Elizibeth Warren (the one Trump mockingly called Pocahontas) would have been particularly inspiring. Then you had Bloomberg and of course Killary lingering around like a bad smell. Perhaps they were saving the big hitters for 2024 should Biden or, dare i say it, the rigging not prevail. I'm also not saying everything is stacked against Trump. He clearly has allies and is backed by some powerful business interests. The Hunter Biden laptop seems to suggest he has a few people batting for him in the intelligence services and the military at least. I do think there is a power struggle going on between different branches of the establishment.

I wouldn't dismiss anything that's portrayed through the eyes of the 'MSM' or political landscape as being manipulated or rigged. That's not specific to this election though.

There's lots of manipulation, of course there is. Both sides have huge teams of people whose job it is to manipulate. The Russian interference in the US and with Brexit was manipulation, not ballot rigging. But there's a bloody big jump from manipulation to ballot rigging by "the elite" because Donald Trump- the biggest fucking crook in history- was going to clamp down on corruption and upset the lizard people. The lizard people who just plain forgot to cheat in favour of Crooked Hilary and the lizard pedos in that pizza place in DC. As for "MSM", it was a Murdoch paper who were the ones who released the story about the laptop, so there goes that theory.

Pyongyang Bantam bantam147 where do you get your news? This is a genuine question, I always wonder where people who say MSM get their news from. I feel like it’s one of those terms that’s really nebulous and could mean way different things to different people.

I feel like it’s one of those terms that’s really nebulous and could mean way different things to different people. It’s a lazy term. I tend to search out news from various sources tbh. I rarely if ever trust one source. I never read newspapers or their digital equivalents, save for the odd T&A article about city. I do read/watch sky news, though less than I used to because I tire of their approach to covering most things. It lacks balance. I steer well clear of the BBC. I listen to Talk Radio a fair bit. But the bottom line, is that for anything I’m passionate about or have a strong reaction to, I’ll canvass as wide a set of views as I can to challenge myself and my views. Few, if any things in life are black and white. That said, the main search tool is Google. And that’s hardly an impartial source of information.

There's no such thing as impartial. If you remember that then it keeps you grounded.
I'm a centre-left person so my no1 newspaper is the Guardian, but I read the Times and the Telegraph too. And the Daily Mail when I want to know what the enemy is saying.
The biggest thing with social media is it shows you more and more and more of what you agree with, because that's what you look at. So you end up reading The Canary or Skwawkbox and thinking they're not absolute fucking mentalcases.

Pyongyang Bantam bantam147 where do you get your news? This is a genuine question, I always wonder where people who say MSM get their news from. I feel like it’s one of those terms that’s really nebulous and could mean way different things to different people. I've already said how i would personally define the MSM in a previous post. But to answer your question, i suppose i get my news and information from multiple sources including the MSM. In my younger days i always quite liked left wing intellectual Noam Chomsky. The book 'manufacturing consent' was a bit of an eye opener. But eventually i found him a bit repetitive like a stuck record. His view that the US, Britain and Israel were the source of all evil and that the UN was the answer to all the worlds problems seemed over simplistic. I also liked John Pilger, one of the few journalists worthy of the name. Real investigative journalism exposing the shocking brutality and cruelty of imperialism . Although he seemed to have a soft spot communism which later made me doubt him a bit. These days i guess social media would be my main source of 'news'. I like to think i follow a broad spectrum of influencers on the right and left. I try not to fall into the trap of creating my own echo chamber, but its hard not to block twats like Piers Morgan. With the ever increasing censorship i do occasionally dip into the 'independent' media sites like Infowars. The Alex Jones guy is entertaining if nothing else. And some of his batshit theories suddenly don't seem as far fetched as they once were. Icke can talk sense up to a point, although i tend to switch off when he goes off on a tangent. Jordan Peterson is quite good at debunking political correctness. There are others but i can't be arsed listing them all here. I've also read a lot of Orwell. "The Road to Wigan Pier" is one of my favourite books. Another good book is "Propaganda" by Edward Bernays. But i think the key is to not trust any source 100% and to always be sceptical and use critical thinking. Then try and draw rational conclusions and not be bogged down with dogma or point scoring. Ultimately all you can due is trust your own intuition and instincts, but always remain open minded.

My take on most media outlets such as Sky and BBC, is that they're left of centre, which comes through in their broadcasting approach. To be honest, I'm sceptical of most of what I hear. The world is an increasingly complex place. Personally, I think we're all fucked. Happy friday.

Trump's stoking it up because he's massively in the red and needs the MAGA money. The small print for the legal fund shows how desperate he is for cash.
