Course nothings changed, because nothings changed other than pubs and clothes shops are closed. Toy Shops are still open for fucks sake. But not card factory. Its back to the Matt Lucss, "Go to work" thing.

Great news about the vaccine, you could almost see Vallance and Whitty headbutting a wall.
Been publicised they make money from lockdown through investments they made, they'll try fight this losing battle to keep us penned in.
I can't wait until I never see their faces again

Its back to the Matt Lucss, "Go to work" thing. It’s just that I was convinced a lot of offices would close and work from home. Judging by the traffic pretty much everyone who was going in before the latest lockdown still is.

I don’t think that many offices went back after the last lockdown. Yeh, that’s a fair point. I was just looking forward to (and expecting) a noticeable drop in traffic. I feel cheated.

You’ll probably feel even more cheated when the offices do go back next year and traffic goes back to what it used to be, plus a bit cos less people will public transport.

Not entirely. For any company whose adapted successfully to home working, theyll see the huge cost saves that come with it. We have a company of about 600 people, all of whom have worked remotely since march and will be until at least next march, and we're actively changing our office plans to assume no more than 100 people in the office on any given day. Basically, peoples home will be their permanent office and theyll only go to the for specific meetings and to meet with customers.

I’m fucking dreading going back to the office, but there are a lot of people who are really stuck in their ways. I appreciate I’ve been quite lucky, but working over corona has been so much better for me. I’m getting more exercise, I’m less tired, saving £50 a week in fuel, I’ve got more time to do what I want and I’ve been more productive than I ever was in the office. Obviously if you’ve got kids running around behind you on calls it’s a lot harder, but I’m worried we’re gonna throw the baby out with the bath water to save Pret A Manger. It’s really not that long since the gov was trying to convince us all that we had to go back in.

Until they realise that they don't even need to employ people in this country anymore. Millions of jobs outsourced to the third world. Cheaper wages. No office rental costs. No employers NI.
