I just hope that when I’m about to blow my muck we don’t end up in a lengthy argument about whether I should ‘remain’ or ‘leave’. Best of three you sexual beast? Depends if I like the, er, result of the first one.

Neshead HobheadThis is an insight into the deluded world of the outraged, the conversation between my dad and the SJW - My dad - 'Both parties are to blame for the state of NHS. For many years, doctors and fully trained nurses ,were imported from abroad. This saved the goverment millions as they did not have to train doctors but especially, nurses from scratch. Doctors training to become GP s ,become salaried GP s or even worse for patients, locums, as not many new doctors want to do all the paperwork and administration that a proper full time GP has to do, and end up earning more. 😡. The end result is shortage of hospital ,especially nurses, and GP, resulting in all the problems patients are experiencing now. So ,all parties are bad as each other , and future medical and nursing needs of the country ,has never been their top priority.' The SJW- "I love a bit of Jackanory. No wonder people are so easy to trick. This Geezer's tricked himself with some shit he made up in his head and he wants people to believe his numpty opinions. People like that who vote for made up reasons should be banned from voting. You need to find better excuses for your racism, Charlie, don't waste people's time with your made up shit or get called out on it, you embarrassment. We lose medical staff to the US, because they pay more. That's also why they asked women to come over from the Caribbean in the 1960s, because the pay was so bad. If you actually bothered to read any books or newspapers, you'd know that and not be called put as the piss poor liar and deluded racist fantasist you are. Wasting people's time with dumb shit like that, disgusting." It's like he's ticked every insult box going. It’s dripping with conceit. I know what’s what, anyone who disagrees must be thick, racist or both. We need a functioning opposition in this country but the left has problems that run deep. I don’t hold out much hope for their ability to reflect and change sufficiently to become one. Hoochy I’d be interested in your opinion on where this leaves leftism and socialism specifically. I’m genuinely interested and not trying to pick a fight and I ask you because you’re a genuine lefty who isn’t histrionic and can actually have a conversation without lapsing into rhetorical insults. Is there some soul searching needed and are there problems specific to the left wing of politics that could go some way to explaining this result? Socialism has been all but killed. I thought there was a renaissance and I was all for it. I genuinely think it would be beneficial to our modern country much like the Scandinavian countries rather than the Venezuelan doomsday scenario. People want centre now. Centre left or centre right and lots of cross over too. There's no appetite for socialism. My fear for Labour was that traditional Labour areas that voted brexit would switch. They did. You'd never have predicted many of even any of those seats switching to blue prior to brexit. Unimaginable. Labour have totally fucked this up. Ironically, Corbyn is actually a massive leaver and always has been. If he could have been strong and led they'd surely have kept those seats. You've touched on how people were told how thick they are for voting for brexit. I think this is the huge thing. We've had social media yelling for weeks about how nasty the tories are and it's voices of people like me. Teachers, doctors etc. University educated doing pretty well actually. I think people like me mean well and genuinely want everyone to have equal opportunities but it's patronising. Here I am in my 5 bedroomed detached house with my walk in sauna and hot tub on the first floor balcony telling people how they should vote. I'd tell me to fuck off too.

Been trying to think of a half decent choice to replace Corbyn and the best I can come up with is Alan Johnson. They’re proper fucked. It's got to be someone well liked by the press. That's how vacuous our society is. Someone clean cut and sharp. Blair looks like an old tramp now but he was smooth in the 90s. That Chuka fella would have been ideal looks wise but he's pissed on his chips with that new party. Is that still going? Alan Johnson is too old for it. Give it to Rayner to get the male species on board, we all would.

Completely random tweet I came across -
As mentioned, I have no political side. But this is just one of the many thousands of comments that screams 'me me me', 'I'm outraged, everyone must know and I crave attention' and you can probably hear the foot stamping if you listen closely.

The ones that stayed red saw a massive swing, that tells you all you need to know about Corbyn and his dreadful shadow cabinet. P.s what is a liberal democrat any more ? Can they call themselves democrats after promising to stop a democratic referendum ? Our entire political battlefield is fucking rank

A number of my acquaintances I know through the band having been up tothis type of attention seeking today. "I'm moving to Scotland" or "I'm signing off to try and get through Christmas". These are people with a home and a job and decent life. Knobbers. Mind you the indiepop scene is so right-on its folding in on itself.

I’m not sure where Labour go from here. They’ve got splits everywhere: Monentum and the unions vs a large part of the party and Labour’s traditional core voters. Added to that, as Hoochy says there’s even a split within and between the support itself. In one corner there’s the working class Midlander/Northerner and in the other the generally Southern, Middle Class intelligentsia. How does the next one in the big chair unite all that and will Momentum and the unions even let them?
I reckon there’s a fair to middling chance of a split here and that, on the face of it, might look like a terrible thing for Labour but it might be their best hope.
