We've just announced a new sponsorship for a new boardroom with JCT. I smell a bit of cooking the books, cash injection just as we need to go all out for Payne. Wouldn't be surprised if Rhodes and Rupp have gone cap in hand to Tordoff I want what you're on please Enid! Gomping tablets

According to BT, we've offered Payne 8k a week whereas luton and Sunderland have offered 15k. Now the guy who posted this was Kilgallons sponsor last year so he may know something. Alternatively it could be bollocks, I mean where the fuck do luton get 15k a week from.

They're still trying to offload players like cattermole and Mcgheady and Oviedo who are on about 150k a week between them. That said they probably have put in for him ironically using the extra money they got boxing day against us.

We ain’t paying anyone 8k per week either. That’s bollocks right there. Not a chance we will pay £8,000 a week, we can’t afford it. He ain’t far off that amount at City but we areonly paying a third. With Rahic being an utter cunt, it made us forget that the only way we could ever afford the quality of Payne was either if some old biddy died and willed him to us or if he was on loan and someone paid his wage.

Speaking of old biddies someone needs to get into Tordoffs ribs before he croaks it. You can't take it with you Jack.
Which reminds me....

Can't see many league one clubs making perm signings in January.. and certainly not with that type of outlay!
Sunderland are pretty much at the peak of their FFP even if they sell Maja, and whilst Luton can probably compete with wages (especially if it pushes them to the Championship, I don't for one second think they're offering those sort of wages especially considering their past.

Payne will leave if a championship club places a bid Huddersfield think is acceptable. He has said he does not want to be sold to a league one club.
Only other club to officially enquire about him for a loan so far is Scunthorpe, however Town don't really seem interested in sending him anywhere else on loan. Plus and not that I think it plays much of a part, Dean Hoyle isn't a fan of McCall after the way he conducted himself after being sacked. He seemed to really take umbrage with the fact he rocked up with Sky shortly after being sacked, thought it was disrespectful.

No disrespect show the other way to Stu, like ? Hoyle could always bring Edin ‘the font of footy knowledge’ in to help his relegation bound club.

Hopkins sounding positive about Payne being here the rest of the season, cautious optimism is good to hear.

Personally and going against what I've been told, I think Huddersfield will recall him on the 15th in the hope someone comes in to buy him
