Another thing that fucks me off about the retard section of the fan base is this constant attraction to ex players - like the choads who keep dreaming of Billy Knott coming back. They have this unhealthy obsession of Darren Moore coming in to rescue us - the dream of another former player leading us to promotion. Always seem to forget they actually have other clubs they've played for and that their services are not exclusive to Bradford City. If we're going to make fucking stupid suggestions, let's go for Conte when he gets fired. Yeah and it's not as though Moore was a stalwart for us. Did well in the old division one but refused to sign a new contract and never turned out for us in the Premiership. He made more appearances in his stints at Torquay, Doncaster, West Brom, Derby and Barnsley than he did for us. Our fans will cling to any comfort blanket that gives us a tenuous link to a division above. Jacobs was pictured with Moore, lets bring him back. An another note i saw someone on twitter asking for James Hanson to come home. Jesus fucking wept, this club deserves league 1 and nothing else with comments like that.

You only have to be aware of his great friendship with Jakes to know that.

Have been seething away this morning at the sad state our club is in. It led me to reading about the manager versus head coach scenario. In doing so I came across this list of duties and attributes a sporting director, AKA "director of football", "performance director" - or our very own "head of football" typically performs / should have. As you look through the list you can imagine Edin thinking himself entirely suitable and qualified to be amazing at all of these things. If he has that kind of reach at our club, and I think he does - it could be worse than we all thought. I wonder how many other clubs have sporting directors who are also the owner? It can't be many as it's fucking bonkers.
"The key priorities for the Sporting Director are:
Support the first team and head coach Maintain and manage a positive working relationship with the owner Employ the best people within budget as department heads Oversee the implementation of the club’s DNA and identity a suitable playing philosophy across all teams, from first team to Academy. Implement and maintain a scouting network Manage the movement of players in and out of the club Oversee the academy and development teams (extending to community foundations for talent identification) Oversee the performance departments including medical and sport science Oversee the training ground
The Sporting Director is the custodian of the club’s sporting performance and must have:
Football industry knowledge Business and financial acumen Ability to lead and develop a high performance culture Ability to develop and deliver a strategy both strategically and operationally Understanding of - and the ability to deliver - good governance Ability to manage change and innovation Ability to manage research (monitor and evaluate) on relevant performance measures"

You wonder sometimes if fans of other clubs are as pathetic as ours. We're not a team in a town of 30,000 people that half fills a ground with a capacity of 6,000, but there's this attitude of automatic defeatism 'Well we've always been a lower league club' - so there's an acceptance of lower league ambitions. Why the constant harking back to the past for ex players that have either gone on to acheive far more than realistically what we can target (Moore) or have dropped down the leagues (Knott, Yeates) I have no idea. Some cunt also suggested we look at Mark Bower for manager because of the situation at Guiseley. Fuck my life with suggestions like that.

Worrying times ahead...

I'm hoping we go down the local route. Support a local, someone who the crowds could get behind.
Peter Sutcliffe or The Crossbow Cannibal would be my choice.

Have been seething away etc. Looking for a "head coach" is the perfect excuse for Edin to get more involved in team affairs than he already is, and is probably the reason he's wanting one. Worrying times ahead... Yeah and with Abbot out of the picture for the time being Edin is basically in full control of all matters. The statement the other day about not being in a rush is scary. I read it as; it may take all summer to get a coach in, but no worries Edin signs all the players anyway.

'Ormonroyd backs Darren Moore' I'm backing Wenger. FFS. Darren Moore. Yeah, cos he's gonna be turned on by the idea of going from beating united at Old Trafford, and Spurs at Wembley, and getting one over Rafa Benitez, to taking orders from Edin over which young pleb has to play at right back for a tricky Tuesday night trip to Accrington Stanley (who'll win at VP next season BTW, mark my words) Another thing that fucks me off about the retard section of the fan base is this constant attraction to ex players - like the choads who keep dreaming of Billy Knott coming back. Megson and Edin would be at each other's throats inside a fortnight.

I'm starting to think we'd be best off with that child from Scotland. At least we know where we stand.
A Megson, Cotterell etc will just result in them falling out with Rahic and we're back to square one. At least an amateur puppet will give us something to laugh at.

Darren Huckerby criticised Megson's coaching style, when explaining why he chose to sign for Norwich City, instead of Megson's West Bromwich Albion. "I told him I didn't like the way he coached, I didn't like the way he shouted at his players and didn't like the way he treated seasoned professionals like 15-year-olds. I was just being honest with him. I said: 'I've seen you on the sidelines and you look like a crazed animal'
