Any player not getting paid much is quite clearly at the bottom end of the shit pile. Any player worth his salt will have been scouted by numerous clubs, the fact we aimed for the players you mention tells me no else rated them enough to make a better bid for them. At the fans forum Abbott mentioned a few clubs were interested in McCartan, it certainly wasn’t off the back of his form with us and i can guarantee those interested clubs wouldn’t be crossing our palms with silver. Yes. Well get the managerial equivalent of Dom Poleon this time. We paid money for Dom Poleon, you let that sink in and you lose the will to live.

A lot of our fans still seem to need a dose of reality when it comes to our ambitions under this board. Any manager under contract will not be considered. There won’t be any compensation paid. I'm not convinced by that. They're happy making one off payments, but not long term commitments. If someone's under contract at, say, Port Vale and there would be compensation but he wouldn't get paid much, that's their market. Ref: Dom Poleon, Shay McCarten, Jake Reeves. I can’t see it. We’re in a permanent stare of belt-tightening thanks to falling income plus there’s a constant and steady stream of managers out of work. Also, any under contract manager would also have to be willing to quit his post to work under Edin’s model.

I wouldn't be as underwhelmed as most seem to be. He knows what he's getting into and he's had a decent amount of success with Brentford and Fleetwood. There is much worse out there.

He's been favourite all 3 times we've needed one since these bellends rocked up. Nobody on that list for the betting is inspiring. We will be looking for a new one at Xmas anyway as they try to paper over the cracks again and that cunt Rahic tries to absolve all blame from himself again.

I was thinking earlier that whoever gets the job won't be here come this time next year. There's no (realistic) name that I've seen linked with the job who either excites me or makes me think they'd be successful. We'd probably be better off trying to get someone like Keith Hill, somebody who's used to working with kids and a squad full of shite. I'd rather they paid compo for him than wasting it on another Poleon. That's without taking the Rahic factor into the equation though, it's one thing working with no budget and bringing kids through. It's hard enough doing that job when they'll probably have a chairman who's supportive and understands the constraints. Another job entirely when Rahic is examining, questioning, interfering with the gaffer's every move and then expecting success on the pitch as well. I also reckon news and reputation travels fast in the small world of lower league football. Rahic has very probably already got a reputation for being an arsehole amongst the football community. It'll influence agents and clubs allowing their players to join City on loan, especially with Abbott not acting as a buffer between that cunt and the rest of the world.

Gompers on FBI suggesting Ian Holloway. Apart from the chasm in terms of financial expectations of the two parties can you really imagine Edin considering appointing someone on a similar ego plain and whose grasp of reality is, at best, as tenuous as his?

Ian Holloway is a fraud and a cunt. Doesn't seem the sort to stand for Edin's shit though. Which is precisely why it's a non starter

'Ormonroyd backs Darren Moore'
I'm backing Wenger.
FFS. Darren Moore. Yeah, cos he's gonna be turned on by the idea of going from beating united at Old Trafford, and Spurs at Wembley, and getting one over Rafa Benitez, to taking orders from Edin over which young pleb has to play at right back for a tricky Tuesday night trip to Accrington Stanley (who'll win at VP next season BTW, mark my words)

They have this unhealthy obsession of Darren Moore coming in to rescue us - the dream of another former player leading us to promotion. Always seem to forget they actually have other clubs they've played for and that their services are not exclusive to Bradford City. If we're going to make fucking stupid suggestions, let's go for Conte when he gets fired.

Did well in the old division one but refused to sign a new contract and never turned out for us in the Premiership. He made more appearances in his stints at Torquay, Doncaster, West Brom, Derby and Barnsley than he did for us.

Today' tenuous suggestions in the TandA are: Andy Boothroyd as manager and players Clayton Donaldson and, drumroll please...James Hanson.

“All the people linked with the job are managers, would they want to come in as a head coach instead? There is only going to be a certain type of person who wants to come in and be a head coach."
That's right Mike Harrison, only a truly shite manager would come in to "coach" the players but let someone else make all the managerial decisions. What an uninspiring time it is to be a Bantam.
