The apologists are out in force. Well Lewis has been poor this season, best to reinvest the money, etc, etc. Who'd have thought that a guy who was employed to handle the clubs social media outlets who was then promoted to CEO would end up being a total shitshow. We are a banter club, no direction, no ambition, no assets, no plan, no clue, no idea, no pot to piss in, no hope. Anyone travelling over 8 hours on a round trip to Colchester this weekend, may aswell go hand themselves into Lynfield Mount now. Young will go but that's a given, at this stage Pointon is likely to be cashed in and it wouldn't surprise me if someone bid for Cook that he would be out the door too. None of this money will go back into the club or be spent on the team. The apologist earlier in this thread with the Directors Loan remark is probably a Sparks stooge to put the idea about that nothing can be spent.

GA towing the party line claiming he hasn’t been told not to play Young.
Sad how many people are going to gobble this shite up and ask for seconds.

Well spotted by McKeown for this one
This window could very well tear things apart completely

Pointon moving on could end up being more beneficial for us, I think that’s the one sale that would move the majority of happy clappers into disgruntled fans.
Obviously there’s cunts like Park which are too far gone.

I get the feeling GA is being thrown under the bus a bit already going by some of his comments yesterday.
He could have been ambiguous in a more positive way, but to just say 'don't know' to questions about transfer fees and budgets looks weak.
Probably told to steady the ship on the pitch this season and write it off, the club will tell others the likes of Young, Lewis, Pointon, Halliday etc are available, transfer budget next season will be dependent on ST sales and any player sales as Rupp as usual isn't spending anything. Transfers in this window will probably be those out of favour, well know to GA or short term loans to patch things up.
It's a situation where a manager who comes on knows it's bad, but will try regardless, then after 12-18 months becomes an impossible task.
Fans are getting carried away over Lewis the player leaving but the nature of the sale and likely non-use of the transfer fee sums up the last 7 years of BCAFC.
If the transfer activity isn't positive and the board direction carries on as it there will have to be a sizeable drop in ST sales.

There's no rocket surgery here. We haven't got a pot to piss in bar the money that Sparks brings into the club, which to be fair he's done a good job of. So any offers for players have to be considered, especially when you can sign a replacement for fuck all. Carlisle this week have shown exactly what we lack, ownership that actually fucking cares where the club is heading. Heck Alexander even said himself he'd not even spoken to Rupp yet as.he was doing his first press conference, that's how much our owner cares. Leaves it all to Sparks, who in fairness is probably more than happy with that as it will look good on his CV. We are the perpetual ship going round in circles, too much about us to go down but no leadership from the owner to take us forward. Living the league 2 dream

The big iceberg coming up on the horizon is the VP lease. 2028 someone said is when it's up for renewal.
If we're still stuck here in 4 years time with Rupp in charge I can see a doomsday scenario for the club emerging.
After 25 years does Gibb concede on the level of payment somewhat, seeing as how we've spent so long in L1/L2? No idea. The land's worth nothing if we move, but no-one has any idea what the relationship with him or his position is like.
But would Rupp happily want us to negotiate a playing arrangement at somewhere like Odsal or the Shay if it means we can save a huge amount of cash every year, and over the course of another 25 year lease?
The way the strategic and overall direction of the club is going, in conjunction the number of smaller, more efficient and better run clubs that are overtaking us every year it wouldn't surprise anyone if we end up out of VP under the guise of 'sustainability' or 'revenue gap' and it being the only way we can survive.

I don’t mind moving to The Shay, it’s a great little ground and I can walk there.

I don’t mind moving to The Shay, it’s a great little ground and I can walk there. Yep. Much less of a dump in general than VP and the area around and better bars around the town. Two things that would kill the club under Rupp's ownership would be relegation to the National League if they can't get out immediately, or if we move away from VP that isn't to a new stadium.

Just drive around Bradford to appreciate just how bad it is. Look across the landscape from inspiring views like Bolton Road or Leeds Road. Not too bad at the end of the M606.or going west toward Howarth way but fuck me it's one ugly fucking dump. It really is the place that shouldn't exist as it has absolutely no purpose now from a business sense. Lest face it, if you didn't have to go to Bradford than for say a business purpose you wouldn't go.As has been said even turd holes like Halifax have far better amenities. Imagine having to have security at Nandos because the public square outside has become a dangerous place.

Call Bradford a suburb of a greater Leeds area and restyle the centre as a separate quarter of Leeds. Improve transport between the two centres to get people to Leeds quicker. Combine the phone area codes and postcodes so all have an 0113 and LS. Challenge Manchester for the largest city in the North and attract investment that currently goes that side of the Pennines

Possible 'revenue gap' Desperately going after the low hanging fruit in endless local sponsorship deals not worked out then? It’s absolutely amazing to me that we’re constantly being told that spending money beyond our means could put the club at risk and that, as a result, sustainability is the most desirable strategy and yet when we have money coming in we suddenly have a ‘revenue gap’. Either all the guff about us being frugal is bullshit or the revenue gap is - both can’t be true. The truth is we all know what’s going on here and anybody who puts money into the club now is either in denial or knowingly being scammed.
