Sparks has shut up and got on with his job, the manager looks like he has a free reign and is getting who he wants. Personally I think we're an old head short in defence a RW a playmaker short. I still worry about a lack of goals but we aren't getting another striker. Still you look around the other squads and for me we're better.
In a nutshell the stars are aligning and we're going up as champions.
1. City 2. Stockport 3. Mansfield ---------------- 4. Orient 5. Walsall 6. Doncaster 7. Stevenage
23. Newport 24. Sutton

We need a better left back, shift Ridehlalgh on, bring in quality Playmaker to sit next to Smallwood, and we're dicking this league.
Probably.

We've been in a slump for half a decade. It's going to take something to turn the attitude. Loads of new players helps. Optimistic for top 7 and with some luck and a striker finding form maybe top 3. It would be good to dominate a league for a change instead of scraping playoffs.

We should have enough to make the play with a fair chance of better. I’m going 70% play offs, 20% autos and 10% neither.

Actually sending out a first eleven without having to shoehorn the dreaded utility players in because your transfer strategy is doomed to failure before you've begun the season. A proper back four means less likelyhood of needing a premier class keeper. A central midfielder who was playing two divisions above last season, the likes of Chapman and Walker. Even getting the transfer work done early, all little things adding up. No guarantees of anything but gives them a fighting chance unlike seasons past.

We will miss out on a playoff spot. And finish MH career for good.
It's the city way!

Anything less than top 3 is a disappointment. Reaching the play offs should be a given.
We've got the manager, we've landed all our targets (allegedly), so if we fail this season we may as well pack it up and call it a do cos we're stuck in this league forever.

I still worry about the three positions behind the striker. They all excelled at the end of last season but only Walker is left. Look at today where with Chapman and Eisa injured we’re suddenly playing Harratt and Osadebe there. Square pegs in round holes again. I’d like someone who can naturally play on the right and we need to keep Chapman fit which could be a challenge but if we manage those two things then we could have a good year.

It’ll be better than last year, but I think we’re getting a bit carried away.

Play-offs has to be a given, but really anything less than top 3 is a failure. This league is poor, we should be pissing it.
Let's see what happens. I've supported City too long to gomp.

I genuinely have no idea with all the upheaval going on. Get it right now, strengthen correctly in January and we should blitz it as Champions. If we fluff our lines again and brought in players who can't handle expectation as we've seen so often and it could easily be mid-table.
We have to make VP the clichéd fortress. For too many years we've had sissy managers who've refused to commit us while letting opponents dictate the pace of the game, especially at home. I think MH gets this, he'll know more than anyone the impact of a loud home atmosphere and can't see him playing cautiously at VP. We have to be able to overwhlem opposition when on top, if were still missing tons of chances in front of goal and saying 'we just need one to go our way'.... then it's previous seasons all over again.
Finish - 3rd Top scorer - Walker Signing of the season - Smallwood Most potential - Odusina Worry about - Lewis

Finish - 5th Top scorer - Oliver Signing of the season - Smallwood Most potential - Crichlow/Harratt (shame they're not ours). I think Scales may surprise a few though. Worry about - East

Also -
I predict sses of cunts whinging about the loyalty points system as I see its already starting.
There is no ideal solution and when you have potentially 15k season ticket holders alone and 500 tickets at the smallest venues a lot of people are going to lose out. 15k+ into 500 goes it doesn't.
