If, as looks likely, it does turn out to be Sparks, aside from being absolutely fucking fewmin, I’m going to want answers about that bullshit the club was peddling regarding waiting for the new CEO appointment before offering Wood a new contract. Apparently that was a job for the incoming CEO and if it turns out Capt Admin could’ve just knocked on the wall and asked it’s going to be yet another case of this club treating its fans like mugs. It’ll also mean Wood is lined up to be sold. Lol - Wood's new contract, how have we fucked that up? We should have tied him down months ago. Like he's going to want to stay here now - is contract expires next year what, what can we sell him for in January, a tenner? We didn't offer Meredith a contract in time as we were scared it could upset the squad. Why do we go about things like like?

Jewell coming back as Director of football according to BT. Guess the little black book of contacts has been turned from page one to page two.

Ask for ambition and we get less than ever before

It's Sparks for definite.
I've nothing against him no thoughts on him personally and wish him well. However this is City all over and it's yet more lazy cheap decisions. I don't know how someone who has learnt all they know about running a football club from Rhodes and Rahic can be given a job of such importance at such an important time. We've missed a huge opportunity to turn this sinking ship around.
I now can't see a way out

Keeping it in the BantamsFamily - if it was an actual family it would be a set of inbreds on a scale of Fritzl having kids with his kids.
I don't know what's hearsay, truth, rumour or obvious bullshit anymore - but we have such a history for making such ridiculous decisions, so stupid they play out like a sketch from The Fast Show, the daftest suggestion could be a very realistic possibility for us.

Jewell coming back as Director of football according to BT. I'm not sure where I stand on that one.
On the one hand, it's a pretty unimaginitive choice. But on the other, he's done a decent enough job at Swindon.

The question is would he have even been considered if he wasn't an ex employee of City? I think we all know the answer to that one There are a lot of DoFs out there doing a decent job, yet I doubt any of them were even thought about. Nothing against him, as said he's done alright at Swindon but it smacks of "fuck it just get [ex player/manager] in, that'll shut em up"

What’s wrong with Jewell? Personally I wouldn’t be against that appointment at all; at the very least he’d get to work on out disgusting forward line. I just can’t see him working under Sparks. Sparks isn’t a CEO and he wouldn’t be at any other club. Jewell and Sparks will butt heads before long and we’ll keep Sparks in preference to Jewell.

I don't remember much of the brief Collins era, but didn't some of us wonder if some of the players would even respect a 32 year old manager with as little experience as he had? What would PJ make of a young CEO who has obviously been rushed through with numerous promotions over the last couple of years? Could be fine - or he could be handing his notice in in 3 months - PJs football roles at WBA and Oldham both lasted a few weeks, so he's no problem with doing things on his terms and walking out.

Age has nothing to do with it, in fact I'd prefer a young dynamic CEO but his background isn't football and as far as I'm aware he's not a football guy. But he's learnt the ropes from arguably the 2 worst people in the club's history. It's frightening to think what will happen to us if this goes wrong.

'Youngest in the top four divisions'
Ah yes, just like when we appointed Michael Collins after months of waiting on the right decision....
This lad must hold a world record for number of promotions in the time he's been here.
