Makes you wonder why they've waited nearly 4 weeks to put the minutes up knowing the bit about the CEO was on the agenda. I reckon the club have told them to wait till it's ready to be announced....Friday maybe? Its the hope that kills you. More likely, the announcement is.... ‘it’s Sparks’. And they don’t want to announce it after a drubbing. We might be here a while....

If Rhodes has identified his successor we’re fucked. If his successor found him we’ve half a chance.

Right this is what I heard some weeks ago after I first mentioned it on here. Jenkins first got in contact around the end of Feb with a view to working under Rupp for the rest of this season. Seemingly his plan was to prove to his backers the true potential of this club and get our house in order before they came in at the end of the season. However if you remember Nixon tweeting saying something didn't add up because it had all gone quiet.
I was told by the person who told me originally is that the club had gone back to Jenkins at that time and told him there was an offer of 8million for the club on the table. From a different person much less reliable I was told that offer was from the Burnley owners depending on the sale of Burnley bringing Baldwin back too.
Personally I think it's Jenkins and wouldn't discount the other offer theory but I think it's much more complicated and taken longer because it involves the sale of the ground back to the club.

Suggestions on the other channel that it will be announced tomorrow. Tyneside said: ↑ I am also hearing that there will be an announcement tomorrow with the new CEO starting officially on Tuesday 1st December. If what I’m hearing is true there will be a hell of a melt down on here and across social media. Good luck everyone. Probably bullshitting. But... just imagine if it was Sparks. He's been very quiet on the Twitter recently...

It'll be Sparks. I'll be surprised if its anyone else? In a sense, it'll be a relief. Like turning the life support of my lingering interest in the club, off. It really will be a line in the sand for me. Job done.

It'll be Sparks. It's been obvious for months that's who captain admin has been grooming to be his successor.
End of the day, its just another Collins scenario. The club is too tinpot and grossly mismanaged to conduct staff recruitment to an adequate professional level, so panic and just recruit from within. We'll all call it as the disaster it will be and 6 months down the line, Rupp will be back on the phone to Rhodes begging for him to come back (again) because the media guy is out of his depth as a CEO.

The two things that don’t add up are £8m for what Rupp paid £6m for in much better health and the sale of the ground. The Pension fund can only sell if it’s the best offer for the fund in the long term, with 8 years on the lease, which is about £3m with the probability of a lease extension, they’d want a good premium. So that’s absolute minimum £11m before they’ve done anything. You’d get any number of clubs in a better position than City for £11m. I’ll look a right twat when it happens now won’t I?

Rhodes has identified his successor as the guy in the next office. What a happy, labour-saving coincidence.

There's a Guardian article today about Covid crowds featuring "Bradford director Ryan Sparks". Pleading poverty about how we'll lose money with crowds in, FWIW.
Oh arse.

Changing the CEO doesn't fix anything either. I really don't think Rhodes is to blame, it goes above him. Rupp calls the shots, he says how much money will be available and the CEO just has to manage that budget. And clearly Rupp has said our budget is fuck all. That's why we got rid of Vaughan and why we replaced him with nobody. Bring Baldwin or even Jenkins in as CEO and nowt will change. If the owner doesn't give a flying fuck then that affects the whole club. Rhodes is good in situations like this- somehow keeping the club afloat. I wouldn't trust him with any actual real money, but unless Rupp fucks off we're not going to have any actual real money. For all the flack Rupp gets (some deserved) he has put money in when needed.. What it needs is a CEO who's going to put pressure on him to spend.. I mean Edin got him to buy the club fairly easily.
