I do have some sympathy for Stuart in that he obviously hasn't been given whats needed or is in a setup in terms of staff that is near the standard of profession football. Lack of backroom staff just follows from Bowyer not having an assistant - is that really how professional sides are supposed to function, even pre covid? But as for the player recruitment im general and lack of spending when money was available... its often been the case with us, and has been done to death. On the cheap, players mates, replacing good players who left with shit... we were told to not panic, relax - everything would be okay and we would be able to compete. But despite all the positivity, we all knew it would be embarrassing and unfortunately its turned out that way. I've been in a similar situation at work. I manage a small team who hate their jobs and hate me - I haven't been given anywhere near the right type of tools or support to get the job done and have to firefight in a number of jobs that I shouldn't have to be doing. And everything suffers because of it. I've told my managers its a shit set up and they're not bothered. So I'm looking to leave as soon as I can - sticking around in that sort of environment when you're up against everything just isn't worth it, wether it's an office or a football club. Are you best suited to be manager or CEO? Regards, Julian.

The sad thing is is i'm just not emotionally invested in it anymore.
I feel like i've gone through all the stages... denial, anger, grief and, finally, acceptance.
I simply just don't give a shit whether we win, lose or draw. I don't even feel the usual post defeat blues.
It hasn't felt this hopeless since Peter Taylor. Only this time, we won't strike lucky and find a 'Parky' to drag us from the jaws of oblivion.
It would be genuinely sad if we failed to preserve our unbroken 117 year history as a football league club. If we went down, we simply don't have the infrastructure or setup to bounce back. More likely we'd go bust or fall like a stone a la York, Chester, Stockport etc I can genuinely see us being leapfrogged by BPA. At least they seem to have an ethos and a structure.

I'm just tired. Constantly tired of the perennial failure of this club. Set up to fail by people who apparently 'care' because they're simply not up to the job or in Rhodes' case completely negligent and doomed to failure because of his Jurassic Park ethos of living hand to mouth.
I'm tired of needing to have a clear out every summer and every January because the previous window's mess has led to nothing but poor performances and results - which most fans saw coming a mile off. The dire signings of the likes of DMH and Guthrie should never happen in a million years for a professional club, let alone signing them for a second time and rejecting approaches to take one of them off our hands. It is the exact opposite of how a club should be run. The way this club recruits is akin to what I'd expect a Sunday league side to do.
I'm so tired that I genuinely don't care anymore. Nobody else at this club cares enough to change the fundamentals of why we continue to fail so why should we?

Agree with Fish, never thought I would say it but I’m done. Bradford City is now a soulless husk created by Rhodes. It beggars belief that there are still some that back him to turn it around. Years of neglect , mismanagement for what? Fans targeted for asking questions over the running of the club by those in the inner circle to the extent that it means I feel personally excluded from MY club. I drove past Marley this week and saw the work Steeton FC have done. Seriously thought that watching them, smaller crowd, pint in hand has to be more enjoyable in the future. At least our support would be valued,
Rhodes needs to be gone in the next few days and the mythical new CEO if they really exist...installed ASAP. Otherwise I will not be the only one who says sod it I’m done after 40 years supporting BCAFC.

I’m hanging by a thread. If we get a proper CEO in and outline the level of rebuild needed, I’m back in. Anything less, and they can fuck right off. I’m sick of the joke we’ve become. Getting absolutely schooled by teams who’re in the first year or two of their professional existence. Absolutely tin pot. And then the nerve that some clowns have to try and blame what we’ve become on ‘social media toxicity’. Nah, you can fucking do one.

I've been going 25 years. Daft enough to go all over the country, shitty midweek games to places like Plymouth... as mentioned before I was wondering if I wanted to take my kid along - but to be honest I'd prefer to let her attach herself to a successful team on TV or even Burnley / Leeds, ones who actually have some fucking drive and goal.
Just the way things have happened over that time, even just the last few years, Stuart coming back to rescue ST sales, Collins, Brunker, DMH, Guthrie then turning down an offer for him... and thats just off the pitch.
Its just become boring really. Especially the collective draining emotional, financial and timing commitment over the years. Constant embarrassment on a Monday morning at work when everyone compares their team's results.
When there's so little enjoyment and probably not much going to change over the next couple of decades, you realise how much more you could be doing to enjoy your Saturdays.

Its quite amusing some are still peddling this shite about social media toxicity. In case they hadn't noticed theres no fans in the ground. Lets face it, we could go down this season and some would pin the blame on us because it kills them inside to say anything remotely negative about the club. I'm now at the stage where i realise these exact fans aren't bothered if we go down as long as they have a club to support no matter what division we're in. Its the gomper vision, the further we fall, the more important they feel as the masses drift away. Proper fans m8.

Bradfords finished mate, the place is fucked. The whole place feels like a rotting carcass and the football club no exception. I'll always love them but that love is slowly dying.

Fear of change - The Bradford disease. Apt for the City as a whole and the football club.

When people ask me who I support and I say Bradford City, there's *always* a little snort of laughter. My ex boss supports South Shields- South fucking Shields- and laughed that we'll be playing them in a couple of years. He's probably right.

He said the same fucking thing when they scored 7 against us in that friendly.

Declared he was happy with a small squad - when we knew there would be a massively condensed season. Underspends.
Surely if you decide to go with a small squad, you'd have to have the standby option of being ready to go into the free agent market if things did go bad? Stuart's sheer stubbornness and reluctance on top of being grossly underprepared has massively backfired.
He's know throwing the youth teamers into a relegation fight. He DESPERATELY needs leadership and experience, fast.

He has to go..... surely. We cannot afford to let the current powers that be pick another manager. All but 1 appointment in the last 20 years has been utter wank, and even that 1 was boring to watch. He has to stay till that turncoat cunt has gone

Doesn't matter how long you give someone if it's the wrong person to begin with.
I saw a few comments saying McCall should be offered a 1 year deal at the end of this season so he has a genuine chance to build 'his team'.
That extra year would take him up to almost 7 years in charge as a manger for us - madness. No-one else would be ever be offered that over 3 spells with no hard success to show for it.
