Let's try and give a shit eh, låds.
I'm predicting 0-0. A turgid affair between a side who can't score and a side set up to get a point. Not enough to have the Bantams Family muttering under their breath in a slightly disgruntled fashion but not enough to get everyone to hashtag believe either. A limbo-inducing snoozefest so save yourselves the trip down and dig out the loungepants.

I’ve got a flight early Wednesday morning so normally wouldn’t go but there is something perversely satisfying watching your team go into ballistic meltdown. Feels like the end of last season never went away. Even i didn’t think it would take only 3 games to get to defcon 5 meltdown stage. Great for forum world and social media though, winning every week kills the twittersphere.

1-2 to Burton. I might change that if we set up with 2 strikers.
If we are going into meltdown, best do it early so we have a chance of changing it - Assuming rahic swallows his pride - and not 20 games in.

Donnie made a decent start and they beat them, so it'll be a tough test. Persisting with the tactics that have served us so well so far would be a concern. Two up front you'd hope, two out wide, at home. Keep it simple. Apparently this is no longer fashionable though. I noticed Macc Town kept their inspirational start going yesterday as well. Still, it was better than shrewsbury.

Still, it was better than shrewsbury. 4-4-2 lacks sophistication and, as such, is the formation of choice for the grubby, simple-minded football-loving proletariat. People who know football grasp the more complex formations that aren't understood by the working class grunts who they have to tolerate in the stadium every other week.

I can't see Collins et al. having any galvanising effect on a group of players who probably, by now, wish they were somewhere else - so I think Burton will snatch this one (barely being able to believe their luck). I reckon the fans could be very close to boos - although, enough people clapped us off losing at half time against Barnsley, so you never know.

A loss would be funny as fuck. It’d really go off then.

If Rahic sees this as a concept and a project then he won't sack any of his 3 amigos. He's given them 3 year contracts because he believes that he knows best and this method will come good. To sack MC, especially quickly, admits to a calamitous mistake. Do we believe that his ego will stomach that?

I think there's a good deal of optimism in this thread, Burton will realise we're vulnerable and go for the early goal. Given the state of our defence this is not exactly out of the realms of possibility and I think the beginnings of mass meltdown will be evidenced. I'm going to sit back like Lard Ass Hogan and watch the barforama unfold.
Quite looking forward to it actually.

Can’t see us getting anything here. Prematch huddle and one up top will be the order of the day. Dicky to make a few good saves, but ultimately the complete lack of organisation will see us concede at least one.
Not only are we not improving I think we actually play worse with each defeat. A loss here and Saturday too and we’ll be back at rock bottom in record time.

Fully expect to lose this one meekly, we will get overrun in midfield again and make at least one major defensive mistake during the game. It’s all very reminiscent of last season yet this time it’s started early and I don’t think we will recover.
The game for me that will hammer home how much trouble we are in is the Wycombe game...we don’t win that one and it will be blindingly obvious that we are in the shit.

Something about lots of family birthdays coming up, probably Ronnie speak for dogging engagements. The nights are drawing in, I expect it's a struggle to achieve solidity once the weather gets cold.
