Friendlies are for getting fit and sharp and the result is pretty much immaterial. I’m with you here, Tawheed, it’s a daft move. If he’s said what I said in my first sentence (as most managers do) then he’s in a no-lose situation. Now he’s under a bit of pressure to win and win well and it’s of his own making.
It doesn’t really matter anyway so long as he gets the cones out in a nice straight line in training. He’s a buffer and no more.

Kind of but without the cock sucking. Or maybe that is part of the deal, I don’t know.

Experienced managers usually play down expectations and with good reason. Every performance and every player is now going to be scrutinised thanks to his comments. Pre season is about fitness, knowing your role within the team and a bit bonding.

Really Michael?

“There’s nothing like that excitement of pre-season.“ Really Michael? I have had a permanent boner since the pre season fixtures were arranged, can't sleep thinking about Guiseley on Tuesday.

“There’s nothing like that excitement of pre-season.“ Really Michael? Jordan Pickford, he used to play for Bradford City you know, was saying the same, fuck Croatia, bollocks to the final, the pinnacle of your career is a half arsed game sponsored by the naughty boys, a load of wank triallists, in front of 8 men, a dog and against a team of shit semi pros who want to kick the shit out of you.

The more I see him, the more I just don’t like his face. He looks embarrassed all the time. Like he's been caught wanking into the kitchen sink

We’ve got an amateur chairman living his dream as both head honcho and proxy manager. We’ve got an amateur head coach with amateur underlings. The U23 and reserve players we’ve picked up are effectively amateurs and we’re hoping we get very lucky with those since our scouting set up and transfer committee is made up of the very same, aforementioned amateurs. Even the player data analyst is fresh out of college.
Far from professionalising us as a club and as promised, Edin is staffing us from top to toe with cheap amateurs. There’s only one way this ends and it’s not as champions.

There’s only one way this ends and it’s not as champions. A bad start and there could be no coming back from it. We have had bad spells in league one before and at that time we had a decent manager and good pro footballers. At least in those times we had the option to dip into the loan market to “freshen things up”. We have none of that this time around.

Bit late now, mind. On another note, surname Collins and using caravan analogies: Has our head coach got a fixed address?

If he's turning up to training on a horse and his personal sponsor is Dick Lane scrap yard. Then I think if push comes to shove it'll be bare knuckle boxing in Woodhouse Grove car park.
