We might well be back in for the cunt. Should be cheaper now too, given that chesterfield went down. Get a deal done quickly.

This would be visionary business, his experience of League 2 will be invaluable come 2019-20.

Who needs this cunt up front when we’ve got Alex “Wheel chair” Jones, Omari “scored a goal on my debut so must be good” Patrick, Shay “set piece specialist” McCartan and Dom “misses more on on ones than Hiwula” Poleon.
Didn’t include Wyke as he’ll be sold so Edin can nip down the offy and put some leccy on the meter.

He scored 21 goals last season in a shit team. What are the chances of us going back in for him? We'd get him for a fraction of the 200k we were willing to fork up in January.

The chances are good I’d say. For free it’d be a decent bit of business. It would be a master stroke in the unlikely event we could send Poleon the other way as a makeweight. Even if Chesterfield point out that Dennis is out of contract and there’s no fee involved so no makeweight necessary, we should insist.

Even though it's his true level there's no absolutely chance Poleon will be willing to drop into non league. As for Dennis, he's generally had an average playing career but his stats last season at a more than respectable level can't be dimissed. Strikers who score 20+ goals a season are such a rarity, if we could get him for a decent price he's worth the risk imo. I'm really hoping Wyke goes this window. Out of his 15 league goals 3 were penalties and 3 were in one game. In other words, he's not a million miles away from being a bog standard 10 goal a season man and that's what I'm predicting for him next season if he stays. Wyke out, Dennis and Lyle Taylor/Kyle Vassel in and we should be okay in the striking department.

Wyke out, Dennis and Lyle Taylor/Kyle Vassel in and we should be okay in the striking department. I think Wyke suffered a bit with our "style" of play during the early season and at the end. In the McCall part of the season we dithered with the ball so much it allowed our opponents to get everyone behind the ball leaving pretty much no space. Also having only one genuinely attacking outlet it made our attacking play predictable and Wyke possibly fairly easy to pick up. In the Grayson era it was launched at him in the hope that he could turn nothing into something. I think Wyke in a good team would score a lot, but he's surely leaving anyway. I can't see him signing a new contract and Rahic will want to cash in on that basis.

In a better team Wyke would probably do pretty well (much like in the nearly season). I'd like to think in an ideal world he'd be a player we'd keep to spearhead a promotion push. But that ship has sailed. I'd probably forgive his average second season tbh but i reckon he probably wants away anyway. If we get a good offer he'll be sold, but we'll have to start again with someone like dennis. He might come good, likewise we may just end up having weakened our squad again by losing someone like wyke. Certainly one striker though is the least of our concerns as there are so many players needing signed; hopefully they'll be better than what we already have. But then i woke up.
