Just as a thought experiment, i wonder how feasible it would be to build a stadium on the site of the soon to be demolished Kirkgate center? No more hillside locations please. And that area of the centre is absolutely vile, the area around VP is bad enough, it wouldn't exactly be an improvement. Only positive would be it would be nearer more pubs. True the pound shop pissheads would have Ivegate while the cultured beer lovers of the Cow's Arse would have North Parade.

4 years only until we'll need to give a commitment on renewal. So the next 12 months are key in terms of progressing any 'strategy' we might have regarding alternatives. If Rupp is serious about this being an investment and growing the club, he needs to be building a modern new stadium that has other revenue stream opportunities with it. Then charge the Bulls rent to share it. Create a proper fan zone/pre and post match experience for fans to turn up and spend money etc. Not happening though. I would certainly be prudent to have a back up plan should Gibb want to play hardball. But i think the days of out of town stadiums with fuck all amenities or public transport links are over. Indeed the current trend seems to be for more centrally located new grounds or redeveloping existing grounds. One of the unintended benefits of being based in a shithole town is that land can be acquired cheaply. Heck, you could probably buy half of Bradford city centre for the price of a new stadium. I always thought the Canal Rd basin would be an ideal location for a new ground, given its flat topography and central location. And the council could spin it as a regeneration project. Just as a thought experiment, i wonder how feasible it would be to build a stadium on the site of the soon to be demolished Kirkgate center? The land around Kirkgate wouldn't be any good, too steep.
Canal Road, where Arnold Laver and Grattan used to be, that would be perfect. You'd get a nice 20,000 seat stadium in there, and Flamingo Land can go kiss our hoop.
We should be looking at Rotherham as our role model of how to do it. And that's how they did it- the council helped build a nice new ground and the robbing landlord got told to fuck off.

They were also bankrolled by a certain Tony Stewart to the tune of 10s of millions. Now unless we've found a magic money tree.....

Hope Dewhirst isn’t reading this but I’ve advocated for a new ground to be built on Valley Road near town for years. Plenty of derelict land, compulsory purchase order and Bobs your uncle.
- next to Forster Square/easily walkable from Interchange - flat - close to town inc North Parade etc - encourages foot flow to other businesses in town - fits the bill re: sustainability and reducing carbon footprint - many more would use public transport - Plenty of space for fanzones and the like - very few residential properties nearby - cheaper to police as closer to stations
It’s a total no brainer. Except it requires a bit of nous, foresight and the support of Bradford Council.
Never gonna happen.

Aye looking at google maps, the Kirkgate footprint looks a bit small to accommodate a 20k stadium. But the John St Market site would be big enough though, if you include the old Morrisons and the Bazaar behind it. Plus its pretty flat and close and obviously close to North Parade etc. The only residential i can think of are the few apartments above North Parade and the ones down Manor Row/ Cheapside. Plus the scratty tenements off Westgate. Surely it would be a better regeneration opportunity than building an inner city council estate? But, again, this is Bradford Council we're talking about....

Our gullible fans seem to think we've signed Dan Agyei. Fast, athletic, likes to score and get over the halfway line. Why would Hughes sign him?

Our fans seem to have a thing about players who do nothing all season then have a good game again us, so they think they are world beaters and want them to sign.

Yep. Spot on.
Saw this flying about on Twitter
Hopefully they will struggle in League One. Don't think they can compete with wages and I don't think their shit hoofball will work.

He must be in the know. He's co owner of 3 twitter handles with a total of 8k in followers, and he has "Journalist" in his bio. What he says clearly is gospel. I know I'm make some shit up about a Bradford player rejecting an approach that never happened and because no fucker supports the club I say made the approach I will colour it up for gullible idiots on the BCAFC handle to fall all over. And yes it's made it to facebook....

Why didn't we offer Cook a contract during the season?! All this bollocks about wanting to focus on the football.. it's a load of rubbish Amazing when we handed out a 3 year deal to Omari Patrick after one game. Was it Greg Abbott who said at the forum we didn't do negotiations during the season as it could upset the other players? The above epitomises us completely. Throw a contract at utter shite but refuse to tie down better players too early.

I don’t think Hughes thought he’d cut it at League Two level and Oliver was going to be Hughes’ spearhead. Hughes is lucky he was so drastically wrong.

I still think Derbyshire was signed to replace him and Hughes was trying to push Cook out at Christmas. Hughes, a top judge of talent.

Not a good look though, your main striker and the divisions leading striker saying 'nah, let's see what division we're in', while you're trying to sell season tickets.
