A sad world when the questioning of flawed idealogies is censored. Religions should not be immune from criticism.

Freedom of speech is a myth, nobody can go around saying what the fuck they like, shout “FREE SPEECH!”, and expect to be given a platform to carry on...Tommy needs to crawl back into his hate filled cave, with the other hate preachers, Hamza and Choudrey. These cancerous pricks offer nothing good to society whatsoever.

One thing Robinson does highlight is the hypocrisy of ultimately flawed ideologies like Islam in the 21st century. I despise religion with a passion, and Islam as it stands has no place in a free progressive society. Not just picking on Islam, other religions are as bad.

These cancerous pricks offer nothing good to society whatsoever. I believe in free speech. But in saying that I draw a distinction between the right of anybody to express their opinions (even if it is offends others!) and those things which are best described as intended to create unrest and ferment racial troubles and which are generally well covered by current legislation. Like you, I have no time for the likes of Anjam Choudary, Abu Hamza, Al Muhajiroun and their ilk who preach against the UK, who wanted to turn it into some kind of medieval, monotheistic caliphate and yet in the meantime are willing to accept everything which the UK state provides to its citizens. But then there are others and Tommy Robinson is chief amongst them who equally want to create racial tension from a very different direction. Where I would agree with Robinson is that we should be even-handed in the way we deal with extremism. What's good for the goose is equally good for the gander. Anjam Choudary was allowed to express his vile opinions for years, staying just on the right side of the law.. until the law was changed. I would like to see a bigger and wide ranging debate taking place amongst politicians, leaders of all faiths and those who feel strongly about it on how some aspects of Islam - the role of Sharia, extremist behaviour, separation of communities, education of women, the role of maddrases, racial tolerance, the role of the like of Hizb ut Tahrir etc - and how these aspects fit into a modern western democracy. Unfortunately, it seems to appear that there is a marked reluctance for politicians of all persuasions to get involved in such a wider debate.
