Unchanged team, new found sense of optimism, seems to be a real team spirit, they have a tough game midweek vs Wigan,
Banker home win 2-1

I'd drop Poleon after Saturday just to keep him on his toes. Other than that I'd keep it the same.

Jones for Poleon, 2-0 Jones double. Neshead ejaculates into his thong.

City unchanged. It's nice to see that we've settled on a first 11 and formation and aren't changing it every odd game.

Another good result, not getting carried away but the next 2 we should be winning and then I might get that tingle

Oldham looking like this year's rent boys giving away freebies so we'll get dicked by them when we meet.
City making us negatrons look like tools at the minute.

What McCall is doing, INSPITE of Edin is miraculous!! Not miraculous but top drawer. Ironically he may be being helped by the poor recruitment. Hold on now, ricc, hear me out before you blow a gasket , the defence all but picks itself with Thompson the solitary option. The midfield is similar if you discount the kids. Only upfront does he have options, and that's where we've seen any tinkering this year. On the other hand this is why I think we're a couple of injuries away from trouble. Our squad is too thin in midfield and defence and if we lose a couple McCall will be really up against it and that's when we'll see him (and probably his patience) tested.

Wyke is the kingpin, we lose him and the shape goes to pot, his workrate and holdup play were very good. If i'm being critical we should had the game sewn up by half time, the early misses from our strikers and Law on another day will prove costly.

As well as we are doing I still think that we lacked ambition in the summer. The fact that only 3 of our summer signings make the first 11 is reflective of this. The only difference really is that we are no longer relying on dross such as Hanson for goals. I think we have an excellent squad this season but make no mistake, we'll need to show more ambition with our recruitment If/when we get to the Championship.
This season was also supposed to be the year where the owners implemented their "bringing in youngsters and selling them for a large profit" strategy. They've definitely tried as we've brought in an endless amount of youngsters since January but let's be honest, it hasn't worked as only Patrick is close to the first 11. Despite him banging on about it, I can't imagine Rahic will persist with it much longer as our current success has been built around proven league 1 players.
So far it's been a good start to the season but i still have doubts. No so much about the strength of our current squad or our chances this season, but more our recruitment strategy for the Championship as it'll need to change if we are to succeed in the higher divisions. Balancing the books is easy to do in league 1, but in the Championship you have to be prepared to put your own money in and run at a loss which Rahic seems reluctant to do. Overall though, my expectations so far have been exceeded.
