Couldn't care less about the bloke but i do like the way he gets the lefties all in a tizz. Usual gompers frothing at the mouth. desperately looking for their GCSE history books to denounce the nasty white man for all the worlds ills. Fantastic.

The thing is though part of what he is saying is correct, this Charlottesville trouble both sides are to blame just as much as the other.

He's my hero. Anyone hated by the left is obviously exercising their right to free speech (ironically what the left say they campaign for).

One of the things about this furore that's striking to me is how wilfully at odds with large swathes of the American population the press are. That ANTIFA are senselessly violent is beyond doubt and it's a view held by a great many people both in The States and Europe. When Trump apportions some of the blame squarely on ANTIFA's shoulders you can bet your trousers that he'll find no shortage of agreement with the vast majority of people who don't inhabit the political fringes and a fair few amongst those who do.
Instead of reflecting this, the press are going out of their way to present it as Trump's support for Nazis. It's as ridiculous as it is transparent. The press should do a little more reflecting of public opinion and a little less trying to furnish people with them. It's 'fake news' and all they're doing is proving Trump right.

That's because like in this country the press lean to the left. You've only got to look at the BBC correspondents to see that.

I'm on a job at the moment, polish labourer has been asleep under a snooker table all night. Polish gang boss comes to pick him up, not a happy man, starts beating him for being asleep. Forget the fact that the gang boss is literally working him 24 hours a day. Fucking slave labour and yet the facts don't meet the criteria of the anti trump brigade. Bradford is rife with slave labour, from the far East and Eastern Europe, must be Donald Trumps fault.

I can understand why people oppose him and you could give a long list of justifiable reasons why. I do think though that sometimes ones personal opinion of him can cloud their judgement on a particular issue. It's an attitude of "Trump said it so I have to be outraged",'and that pretty much sums up politics for me. It's not one way traffic either. Just an example I can think of. Some are so fixed on their opinion about Corbyn to a point where every time he says something, they feel the need to get into a frenzy about it without actually taking into consideration the point itself. Sometimes you've got to take a look at the issue itself rather the man who talking about it.
As for Trump's comments and whether they were 'appropriate' or not depends on how you choose to view them. If he was looking at possible reasons for the attack I think his comments were fair enough. If his comments were made to make the attack seem acceptable then I can understand why people are against them but in all honestly I have better things to do than get upset at comments made by the US president. Regardless of whether his comments were politically correct or not, life goes on.

How would you stop a nutter running over people in a car? You can't.

How much are you betting he was known to security forces but they could do fuck all because they were scared of violating his hunan rights? There are literally thousands and thousands of potential terrorists in Europe who are known to security. Finding enough evidence to convict them all (which is the protocol required to arrest someone in a European country) is a lot easier said than done. In fact it's verging on impossible.
