Nice to hear the other side booed off at half time for once.
This'll be interesting. Under the Leslie if we were 2 up at HT the first response would be to just sit on it and see it out.
FGR are shite. If GA has a proper go at this lot we could get more.

We'd never be 2-0 up under Leslie.
Hopefully we go for the jugular.
Must admit I wasn't overawed by Alexander but I like the guy - both his approach to games and his demeanor.

Can’t get over how bad these lot are, if they don’t go down I’ll be amazed. Has Vince Dale lost interest or something?
Anyway, glad to see us being more positive. Still not convinced by Alexander but definitely prefer his attitude to Leslie.

At least Taylor won’t be playing for a game or two, good night all round tonight

Ahh Taylor, the gift that keeps on giving. 3-0 and he’s going to have a nice suspension. Perfect night.

I’m Taylor’s biggest critic but he’s actually played alright in the last three games. Alexander obviously sees him as part of his first choice defence and he’s been part of that little run so I am not rejoicing at his impending suspension like I otherwise would have been. What an idiot he is for doing that though.
Decent enough performance tonight and got the job done but a better team would have punished us for surrendering the initiative in that second half. FGR were truly awful.

These last 2 results have been a welcome relief but let's be honest both teams we've played were awful. And it wasn't us making them look awful either. I don't understand this new Taylor love in either, he was shit against notts County shit first half vs accy and ok last night. He's not set a high bar but his improvement isn't a dramatic one. Hopefully Stubbs comes in and bucks his ideas up and keeps his place. Big game against Salford coming up, will be a better gauge of where we are under Alexander.

I mean, you can't not enjoy the 2 results, and 2 clean sheets in a row after some recent results and goals we've let in is great. Had results gone against us Saturday and yesterday we could have actually been 23rd I think, so as you say seems more a relief. So next we've Salford, Gills, Donny, Morecambe and Stockport before January. Stockport's a write-off while 3 of the others are definitely winnable. It's just a case of being in decent position for Janaury so hopefully we can cull the squad somehow and get a few noobs in that GA will actually want. One positive under GA, more so since Leslie left, is more players are chipping in with goals and much less pressure on Cook to do everything. Remember when our defence couldn't score for 44 games?

It's noticeable just how much further forward the defence is playing. How often were Platt and Kelly putting diagonal crosses in yesterday? They're about 30 yards further up the pitch than they were under Lesley.

Just as well we're not relying on Cook, I have more impact on the game than him.
