I've just had a thought, if Rupp sees that and sacks Sparks (unlikely I know) who else does he know to take over? Fucking Rhodes Sparks dares to dream. With Rhodes you'll eat your gristle and like it.

When did City last buy a player, develop him for a bit and sell him for a decent profit? I honestly can't remember who the last player was that they sold to someone higher up the leagues? It can't be Wells can it, there must be somebody after him, surely? Stuff like that speaks volumes to me, because if the club is going to be entirely self sufficient, then that's one way of making some progress. City seem to be experts at giving those that are rapidly approaching the knackers yard one last pay day instead.

It's no surprise when we're hoovering up shite on frees that we're not selling them on.

Dunno if that’s a recent picture but look at his eyes, like pissholes in the snow. I slag him off cos he’s an arrogant dick but imagine having to be responsible for every part of this club. Who has he got to share the load with? Spending all his time trying to get a new hand drier partner, no wonder the recruitment is shite. I reckon this quote is either “fuck it I’m done” or, and my spidey senses have been tingling on this, he’s laying more groundwork for a Gibb takeover. The shirt sleeve sponsorship (which was optional on replica shirts) stank of reintroducing Gibb as a benign or positive entity. Now he lets slip that Rupp has squeezed the bank account shut and Sparks can only spend what he earns. Sparks is clearly sick of covering for Rupp anyway. x.com/lowertiers/status/1693299070851219950?s=46&t=LUd-O1BAe2dg7Qd_FMp4xQ

Sparks has worked miracles with nothing really, to get extra income in, even with the Spanish tour mates rate and the like.
That said; Rupp seemingly gets credit for investment but it transpires there was zero. So he's right to speak out. Could do with Gibb back.
No one wants millions throwing at it, doesn't need that much. Just a bit of hope as much as anything.

City paid out £1.2m in non-football “admin fees” and lost £1.2m in their most recent accounts.
Beyond that we spend what Sparks can bring in, and it’s obvious that this year’s recruitment has been down the Ryanair end of the market.
I’m not a Sparks fan but he’s a good salesman and he’s really turned the commercial side round. You can see that in the accounts.
What’s annoying is that it wouldn’t take a huge push to get us to League One and then Rupp has a more valuable club to sell. But I don’t see any signs he cares.

Genuinely puzzled around those who continually shout down the Sparks naysayers and insist he's doing a great job.
The evidence is clear that he's out of his depth and we're not progressing.
We're still struggling in League Two. We've gone though numerous managers. We've gone through hundreds of substandard players. We've had the recent interim manager debacle. We're on our second (shite) recruitment manager (after talking up our first who was ousted). There is the long term radio silence from the club. Then Sparks speaks at the press conference to unveil Alexander and does his usual arrogant bullshit.
What is Sparks actually doing right and what do these smug wankers get out of defending him and kidding themselves that he's doing an absolute sterling job?

He has the keys to the castle as long as he doesn't spend the boss's money.
That and interference in the football matters aside and he's Edin Mk2.

what do these smug wankers get out of defending him They get to feel all special and part of the inner circle. And all they have to do is be a fluffer for a mobile phone salesman. Quite pathetic really.

We got a long way down the process with Cowley but were always gonna bin him off for our first choice which was obvs Alexander... Our first choice was still in employment elsewhere 12 days after we fired MH. Sure thing Ryan 👍 I can still the gompers spinning it. Alexander intentionally got himself fired from MKD so he could come here. First choice all day long. Only a matter of time before Sparks goes now. Position is becoming untenable, and he's looking more and more clueless as a CEO. He's put himself in an incredibly weak position with his comments about GA and and what Cowley has come out with, and this is fits the pattern of discrediting himself on a regular basis.

Sparks advertising for a new Head of Marketing.
Be better if he went back to what he does well and he lets a grown-up run the club.

Bump
Seems to be more rage generated in the aftermath of those latest supporters meetings minutes...
It's like we've been a three year year work experience scheme for Sparks - this guy ain't a CEO. What he says and does isn't the actions of behaviour of a CEO. The sympathy has long gone.
Any serious owner who had an actual awareness, understanding or even passing interest of what was going on wouldn't have stood for this for three months, never mind three years.
The club has been damaged by him and Rupp and they're shitting on the fans. Fortunately more and more are turning.

If the supporters board was a genuine attempt to provide transparency they'd take proper minutes and publish them directly on the club website. They're tucked away on the board website so that most people won't know they're there, however the ongoing shitshow has meant those minutes are suddenly front and centre. "Are you going to publish the review of the Spain trip?" "No". Oh thats alright then. Think I saw on twitter today that Sparks got one of his mates to set up the board - anyone know if thats the case?
