Fuck it, instead of injecting us with a dodgy vaccine, just inject us all with Covid. Bit unlucky if it kills you but hey, less people means more food to go around. Not all heroes wear capes. You know those heroes like Superman (cape✅) who wear their pants outside their trousers? Do you think they have another pair of pants under their trousers? Essentially doubling up on pants. Ring James Obrien, loves questions like that does James.

There's also the possibility that you had some protection from t cell cross-reactivity due to infection with one of the four pre-existing human coronaviruses. Hob was a big fan of that theory last year, I think Toby Young and the like had been pushing it on Twitter. Fits my ‘proximity to China’ theory. Incidentally I don’t think I’ve ever read anything Toby Young has written and it’s for a very shallow reason: his face really winds me up.

No. Not because I'm ant-vax but like Arsehole said I don't need it. I don't get the flu jab for the same reason. I'll take my chances getting COVID-19 and recovering from it within a few days. Still amazes me how quickly so many vaccines have been developed and approved in such a short time. What makes you think you'd recover after a few days? You're not particularly likely to die but even for mild to moderate cases there's a chance it'll fuck your lungs or cause other long-term complications. It can take weeks rather than days to properly get over flu, it's a nastier disease than people realise, and it's not as bad as covid. I get the flu vaccine so I don't have to feel sick as a dog for a week followed by weeks of getting over the effects and I'll be getting my covid vaccine. Gambling that you're going to be in the group that has no symptoms or a mild case with no after effects is risky. And none of you are getting any younger - it's only going to get riskier. It surprised me how quickly they'd managed to develop and approve the vaccines too - until I'd read about how they'd managed it. People talk about flu, if ever you've had proper fucking flu you know that you don't want it again and you can see why it kills people. I'll have the vaccine when it's my turn.

My wife's had proper fucking flu a couple of times so religiously gets the flu jab as she wants to reduce the chances of feeling that ill again.
I've never had flu so never been arsed about having the flu jab.
I'm not comparing COVID-19 to flu, it's obviously more than 'just flu' but according to the stats and my experiences over the last 12 months I'm very unlikely to contract COVID-19, or become seriously ill from it due to my age and relatively healthy state, so I don't feel I need to immunise myself against it.

I had swine flu and can assure you that was a hundred times worse than covid. I genuinely thought I was on my way out, I was in my prime then as fit as I'd ever been even pushing out abs.
