Tell you what, if the ethos does ever change from the top down at this dying club we can all thank WOAP afterwards for being at the vanguard of change. I've read some who hate us with a passion, deride our every word and quote us in their comments yet pretend not to read our supposed vitriol. Strange that? And i suspect that even if we lose tonight and Saturday they would still stick behind the same mantra that we alone are to blame for this shit show, that somehow us 'not getting behind the lads' has turned us into a club frightened of its own shadow.

How can we expect our club to succeed if we don’t keep buying season tickets and keep clapping? #bantamsfamily #cityforall

I'll say this till I'm blue in the face - get a Council who gives a fuck and will allocate a suitable site/facilitate the gaining of planning permission/help with any grant funding available (see Southend United and funding from Homes England), a commercial developer to bear the brunt of the costs , and a club hierarchy prepared to believe in themselves and the goal, and a new stadium is a piece of piss. Dewhirst and his disciples can laugh at me all they want, its never about a club spending £30m. Its about getting the right partners and leverage.

I actually agree with most of that. Too much focus on players and manager for me but this bit stands out:

I actually agree with most of that. Too much focus on players and manager for me but this bit stands out: Goes back to us moaning about training at a school, scouting on an ipad etc. and all the other chronically under-invested areas. Said for ages the foundations are piss weak, you can only rebuild the squad ever 12-24 months with the set up we have - unless you strike it lucky with the combination of players you bring in (a short term measure), then the setup won't improve things. The opportunity to really grow the club came in 2013, then again in 2015 when we were our stock and marketability were still reasonable - but we blew it. When Leeds were promoted - yes, promotion to the PL is much different - but you know their PR machine at all levels at the club will be in overdrive, squeezing out every bit of involvement, engagement and investment it can, from across the world. A completely different scale, but they will make the most of any opportunity. I think we kind of epitomise Bradford as a whole. A struggling, broken city - with low prospects, industry and economy, no vision and very poor leadership. A few nice bits on the outskirts, but the core is rotten - and we're one of the biggest cities in the country. The year could be 2040 and in some ways you can barely see us moving on from where we were in 2000.

Oh crawl back under your fucking rock. DM incoming. Just giving the intellectual response to calls for a new ground. I was going to go with, ‘seriously, fuck off’ but decided to go straight for the ace of trumps.

'By my money, or to be more accurate, Wikipedia’s money, this team is the second worst side the club has fielded in over half a century, and even then, only just.'
'What, you want more?' - Julian Rhodes
'Its the fans fault' - Dewhirst

Jesus christ, it must escape some that we are flailing about in the shit pool with no plan whatsoever. What a great idea, give a manager till 2023 with no threat of losing his job. So we can just bumble along for the next 2 to 3 years still with no plan of what the fuck we are doing. When will people realise this club needs along term vision so that when covid disappears we have something to aim for. This idea that are problem just stem from not giving the manager 3 years to sort the shit out. When, and only when this new CEO is onn board can we finally move forward, the fact its taking so long I'm hoping is that we finally get the right man on board. We get this decision wrong we might as well pack it all in.

When, and only when this new CEO is onn board can we finally move forward, the fact its taking so long I'm hoping is that we finally get the right man on board. We get this decision wrong we might as well pack it all in. It’s a dreadful article. Sticking with the right manager is a great idea. Sticking with the wrong manager is a bad idea. Todd was sacked too soon but should we have given Bowyer, Mickey Love and Jacko more time? Should Rupp have given Rahic more time to get it right? The author of that is spectacularly naive in my opinion. You can just keep on giving a failing manager more time in the hope it will all come right because sooner or later it might explode if he’s the wrong man. Put in place solid foundations, a playing ethos running from U8s to the first team, get the right players and the right coach in and stop making it up as you go along. It’s not difficult.

The sum total of that ‘strategy’: don’t sack Stuart.
And they say we’re short on constructive suggestions.
