If we lose this there’ll be hell on and rightly so.

Plenty of points left to play for. Play offs still in reach.

It's going to be compelling viewing just to gauge the social media shitshow. That said I think even that is starting to feel apathetic as the gompers disappear one by one. When Jenkins comes in soon it will be like a ligtbulb being turned on moment, this club can finally move on whether it be with or without Rupp. Unfortunately we may be in such terminal decline that even Jenkins will struggle, the ship has been sinking for that long.

The social media outrage when we lose 3-1 after going in half time 1-0 up from a penalty will be glorious and slightly amusing.

It D-day, or D-week for McCall.
If he didn't do it on the bus home yesterday he needs to ring Rhodes and Rupp and tell them he's going into the free transfer market and paying whatever the hell we can to fix this mess.
His reputation as a manager is on the line - he won't get a job in this country again if he flops now - and he has to go in and make sure those above him know his situation and the precarious situation of the team and kick off about it.
If he's too proud or stubborn then we've had it.

Southend United- 2 points from 10 games and are currently on course for a season haul of about 10 points.
Still don’t think we’ll win.

If we lose this and the FA cup game against Tonbridge i'd seriously consider asking for a refund on my season tickets. I didn't pay my hard earned money to sign up to this clusterfuck. I signed on the back of words from Sparks and Rhodes about replacing Vaughan and having a competitive team, not an outfit not wanting to finish in the top three. I love this club but i'm a point where i will walk away until someone with that dreaded word ambition comes into the club.
Huw Jenkins, come on down the price is right.

He got Motherwell into Europe because Rangers weren't there, he got us to a play off final because he had pps main players and because Edin got rid of a Hanson and brought Wyke in. They're the 2 best seasons he's ever had as a manager, the rest have been awful. It hurts to say it because the man as a player is a fucking hero but he is not a very good manager. He should resign because Rhodes will never sack him. He needs to learn he's a thinking managers number 2 and nothing better. That being said I'd love for Stuart to be moved into ambassadorial role for the club, he could sell this club to players and sponsors and under a new regime we will need to build the positive view of this club back up.

If the Southend manager has a copy of our games so far then his scouting is done. Any form of pressing on our players and we'll go long to our strikers for their centre backs to mop up with ease. Our defence has a mistake or 3 in them per game and they'll likely only need 1 goal to win the game. We create nothing. Even on yesterday's interview, Stu was talking about camping out in their half in the second period, eventually forcing free kicks and corners and seeing what happens from that. Nothing from open play.

Nothing from open play. We play without wingers so crosses are rare but our biggest issue is how static our front line is. There’s never any option for a through ball because nobody makes a run - it’s all balls into feet, backs to goal. Neither does anybody run across and get in front of their man when a rare cross does come in. Our forwards saunter around like they’ve lost their guide dogs. I don’t want to bang on about him but Donaldson is a fucking disgrace. His movement is pathetic and when you consider our only other options are the only slightly more mobile Novak, the utterly inept Guthrie and the kid from Wolves who’s so raw he’d give you food poisoning it’s pretty easy to see why our only hope of a goal is from a set piece. The only way anyone assembled a squad this bad is with a culture of incompetence.

Nothing from open play. Last goals we scored in open play were at Mansfield - and let's be honest, it all started from a keeper howler. We also benefitted at Forest Green from a keeper error and a fortunate free kick that went straight in. We've scored in 4 out of 9 games. And one of those games was a penalty. There is barely any threat at all - as we knew months ago. We know it doesn't matter how they go in and they all count, but when you analyse where and how we actually score, its even worse. It will fucking relegate us unless we create more and it improves. It's like when everyone had their fingers in their ears and eyes closed 12 months ago with Bowyer when the results were disguising awful performances and we knew it wouldn't last. Now we know our goalscoring ability or threat is far worse than what we're actually seeingm

Now we know our goalscoring ability or threat is far worse than what we're actually seeingm The glimmer of hope was a couple of Novak goals made by French down the right. If we can get the wingbacks forward and getting it into the box regularly then I think Novak and Don will score a few, that's their game. At the moment we're pinging the ball to them and asking them to play a hold up role. Our style is not embedded and that's not helped with the tinkering. We're all over the place. You've got the wingbacks trying to do their thing then AO'C and BRE acting as auxiliary wingers as we're always chasing the game. Leaves a massive hole at the back that a decent team should exploit. I remember MK Dons did it last season very effectively. We've picked players yesterday to play the conditions rather than play football and hoped for a goal from a set piece because it's windy. That's honestly something my Sunday league side would have done back in the day and we were consecutively 3 times bottom team in the Bradford Sunday Alliance. We're a ramshackle collection of players, tactics and confusion at the moment. Love these videos of us warming up before the game too. Watch the one yesterday where they're doing a little pass and move drill. Abysmal control of the ball even when under zero pressure! Players regress here, we're that bad!
