Playing three CBs worries me too. Although a good idea on paper to rectify a leaky defence, every time we tried it last year the useless bastards looked completely lost and the personnel hasn’t changed at all. You've got to be comfortable on the ball and playing out of position, because at times you'll be pulled out to the wing if the full backs gone forward, and if your a big dopey centre half you'll shit yourself

At the moment we have a shit defence, a lackluster midfield and strike force which is one of the worst I’ve seen. 2 quality wingers or even one will see us on the front foot, create more chances, score more goals and ease the pressure off a vulnerable defence. When you have little to no attacking impetus as we currently have the defence are going to be exposed more often and we won’t have enough goals in the side to compensate for our deficiencies elsewhere. There's not a cat in hells chance of McCall playing with wingers, our midfield is so ponderous they'd pour through us. He might play someone out wide and try pass him off as a winger, but in reality he'll be a right sided midfielder. Unfortunately we are so easy to play against, it will just be a repeat of last years tipp tappy no penetration football. Luckily I've only got to attend half the matches Problem is our attack’s so ponderous that without wingers there’s no one for the midfielders to give it to. We’re whipping up a perfect storm here of leaky defence, impotent attack and a set up that invites pressure and induces the hoof.

Let's see what the 3rd kit looks like before anyone writes us off completely.
Anyone else excited for the launch at 6pm???
Anyone???

This legitimately looks like a relegation season.

This legitimately looks like a relegation season. It’s shaping up to be a long season but unless we’re unlucky with injuries and suspensions there is enough shit in this division to keep us up.

This legitimately looks like a relegation season. It definitely had that feeling about it tonight. One of those results where you look back and think you really should have know then.

And before anyone asks, no, I never get tired of it.

Well 15 games to go and we're all over the place with these. Dunno which cunt deleted their profile and said Guthrie and the gompers wet dream would get 45 between them but I sincerely hope it was tongue in cheek.
Well it's fair to say we've got the change at the club we've wanted and it's paying dividends. So what's your predictions now ? Still a third of the season to go for us and we now have a team.
What's your new ups and downs for the end?
Cheltenham Tranmere City
Bolton (Play off winners) FGR Exeter Newport
--------
Barrow Grimsby

Gut says we’ll make the play offs and miss out. I’ve got a funny feeling that next season is ours but that’s what every gomper has thought since the dawn of time.

Cheltenham Tranmere City Bolton (Play off winners) FGR Exeter Newport -------- Barrow Grimsby Vaughan needs an operation so I suspect that might derail Tranmere a bit. As for City, I’ve said this before but if we can reach the playoffs then we should be able to reach the top three but that means keeping this championship winning form up. 15 games left and I think we need to win 10 with another two maybe three draws. That sounds like a tall task but looking at the fixtures, I don’t think it’s as wildly unrealistic as it appears. I think the thing that will do for us is either injuries or suspensions. The injuries might be a bit less at the moment (amazing what a winning run does for players willing to run off knocks) but I expect one of Sutton or Watt to get a game suspension before the end of the season. The issue is as we’ve all identified, one of those goes, who are we replacing them with? It might only be a game but like I said above we need to be pretty much perfect from now on.

This league is wank, we all knew that at the beginning of the season so there's nothing to fear there. Injuries and suspensions are fair call and with Pritchard and Ismael out for the season you'd hope we'd be looking at a free agent midfielder even if it's to sit on the bench and give Watt or Sutton a 20 minute rest. They've turned the season around and now the fans have swung back to full gomper and can smell success. I think we've come too far to fuck this up now and for the sake of 20k or so to sure up the midfield isn't too much to risk.....is it? When Evans and Hossannah return that gives is another couple of options but fuck all in the middle.

Completely agree about a small outlay could actually make the world of difference but I can’t see it unfortunately. I think we’ll take the risk in not signing someone on a free which could blow up in our faces...fingers crossed it doesn’t.
