Roughly running through the stats for our forwards and their goalscoring records for the last three seasons in the league and FA Cup looks like this:
Guthrie - 24 in 81 Clarke - 3 in 38 Novak - 26 in 105 Donaldson - 11 in 82
Total 64 in 306 or a goal every 4.78 games. That’s fucking dire but that doesn’t even factor in the reasonable assumption that every one of them bar Guthrie is at the fag end of their careers and likely to be waning.
I’m really repeating myself but if we don’t fix that we’ll be in trouble on lack of goals alone never mind our other deficiencies.

I honestly thought we’d negotiate a fee for Vaughan. How is it that this club always finds a way to make you feel like a dozy cunt?

It was only a day or so ago that the McCall Parker love in stated there was nothing in the pipeline and they would see what turned up. Don't tell me they had no clue Vaughan was going, he's been going for weeks. Any club worth their salt would have covered over the bad news of Vaughan leaving by unveiling a cracking replacement as a show of strength. But not us.

Ha. He talks about 'long term planning' like we haven't been begging for that for years.

Ha. He talks about 'long term planning' like we haven't been begging for that for years. He also completely misrepresents the ambition argument but he’s not really interested in debating with people he thinks are beneath him. As evidenced by him sniping at us from behind a Twitter block. On reflection there’s probably little point us and him interacting anyway. We’re different types of fan.

In John's world its never City's fault. He's conveniently forgetting the fact why Vaughan doesn't actually want to be at Bradford. And yet you dare have the temerity to question the club then you are branded negative and not getting behind the lads. When will the naive fan base of ours wake up and realise its the owner and CEO that kill any chance of this club going forward.

Fuck me, Vaughan didn't "flop". At least not until we punted him out on loan and then wondered why he didn't want to come back. The "attitude" was all from our side.
Look, if we replace JV with a promising player who's been banging them in for fun in upper non-league I'll support them.
But we haven't. We've got Kurtis fucking Guthrie who, if he was any good, wouldn't have been busy doing fuck all at pissing Stevenage. And McCall on his iPad trying not to get distracted by PornHub.

Somebody was saying that McCall sounded happy with what he had up front on the radio. Somebody here tell me that’s not true.

Dewhurst knows that he'd lose all his access to the club if they ever decided to show the slightest hint of professionalism. So he supports the pub team management at the club. Being a small fish in a small pond suits him because he gets to feel important. Shame, he used to write some interesting stuff in the back of City Gent.

On reflection there’s probably little point us and him interacting anyway. We’re different types of fan. He’s happy with the club and will merrily rationalise us being shit until the cows come home. We’re pissed odd and fresh out of patience. He seeks the limelight and considers himself on a higher plane than most fans. We’re cowards who hide behind anonymity. We like women etc etc. I can’t understand how or why people can continue to defend the way this club goes about its business. The results are self evident. We’re a middling bottom division club with zero assets. Other than the players and our membership of the football league we’re worthless and there isn’t a club in the league that don’t have those ‘assets’. We literally couldn’t be doing much worse. The fact that Bury are always cited is telling. We’re reduced to comparing ourselves to a club that’s all but defunct in an effort to make ourselves look better because they’re all we’ve got left and that’s the best indication of how far we’ve sunk.

If I'm feeling generous I think it's because we all got our fingers burned by Edin. He came in and talked sense at first, building things from the ground up, a new pitch, youth development, a Director of Football, we even signed some decent players like Wyke and Vincelot. He even got cold hard cash for Hanson and Clarke. All sensible stuff we have been wanting for years. But he turned out to be a fucking fruit loop and now we are where we are. So best not try those modern ways again, we might get another Edin.

Somebody was saying that McCall sounded happy with what he had up front on the radio. Somebody here tell me that’s not true. Not really. He was talking about the other senior strikers being good role models to the younger players in the squad (in contrast to Vaughan’s attitude) but he also said that we’d been trying to sign a replacement from a higher division who had rejected us because he didn’t want to drop to league two.

FFS Its about scoring goals not being a nice chap. Surely the best role model you can have is someone whos played at a high level, scores goals and knows what hes doing rather than some gormless twat running around aimlessly

This looks worse and worse as the hours go by....just say nothing or give a woolly answer, you can’t go from that and then do what has been done today still expecting to smell of roses. They really don’t do themselves any favours whatsoever, they needed to pick least worst option and that was to stay silent. Yes they’d have got some pelters but damage limitation and all that!

www.thetelegraphandargus.co.uk/sport/18655150.bradford-city-boss-not-panicking-player-market-hots/FFS. Its the same regurgitated low expectation setting story we see every transfer window. 'No panicking', 'no rush', 'taking our time'... just once can't we be the ones that do their business early and not leave it until the last few hours... I'm not bashing Stuart, its just the same thing over and over every year - we have obvious holes in the squad that need addressing urgently. They may well be behind the scenes but we're all too familiar with being knocked back again again and we end up chasing bodies in the last few days of a window. How many times have we gone into a season still with gaps to fill as well? There were several years not too far back where we couldn't even put out a full bench due to squad size.

I'm glad we're not panicking. It's not like we're three and a half weeks from the start of the season and still don't have a right back or goalscorer.
