Said after yesterday I actually wished Rahic had stayed longer.
An arsenal ST holder came with us and when we told him about all the shit that had been going on he said why didn't we protest, complain more visibly, harass the owners etc?
I said because our fans our gompers. And explained what Bantam Gomperism is; he understood fully.
I wanted Rahic to have stayed around so we could have harassed the cunt and made his life hell. But you know our cuckold fanbase are too meek and timid to do anything.
As for the game, shit. I've read comments where people think we could have got a draw, it was much improved etc. The thing is our standards are so low and potentially so terrible that anything that is remotely better is seen as some vast improvement. The only thing better yesterday was we didn't fall apart at the back, going forward is still as painfully slow and laborious as it has been all season.
On the train back to London some gomper - the sort that has a claret and amber flat cap - was going full gomp arguing someone who said the players deserved to be booed. He was gomping saying it doesn't help things, then came out with the cliches like 'how would you like it if you were booed at work?'.
I hate being associated with this lot at times.

Are you posting from a cell somewhere after being arrested for GBH?

A favourite retort of the gomper is 'how would you like it if you were booed at work'. One of many of the likes of 'Just get behind the lads FFS', 'We go again', etc. To answer the Arsenal fan, i didn't see them doing much under the last few years of Wenger, boring football for years and yet they still sell out the stadium with the highest ticket prices in the world. They're bigger gompers than us, have you seen Arsenal fan TV? Thats what you get when you let a set of mongs loose with a video camera.

Indeed - but unlike a lot of PL fans he was quite clued up on some of the issues at other clubs such as Blackpool and Coventry and admired their fans actually protesting and staying away. He was the sort who probably wanted to be more radical but knew the vast majority of arsenal fans go to discuss politics and the economy.

Arsenals real fan base died off years ago, replaced by what they have now in the soulless Emirates stadium, happy to fill the pockets of an owner who runs all his clubs the same way. As for our lot, wait till the last game of the season, we will already be down, Wimbledon will need to win to stay up, Hanson scores and our fans suck the farts out of his arse and then stay behind to applaud off the biggest bunch of failures seen at the club in over 30 years of me watching them. Hell there some fans on social media who are already looking forward to a new start next season, getting behind the lads already FFS and we haven't even gone down yet. There could be the best part of 80 odd places between us and the team 10 miles down the road in Beeston, i fucking hate football just right now.

No really, they play some lovely stuff. You'd actually enjoy a game of quality football.

They think clapping solves things, somehow take responsibility themselves for the state the club is in and keep clapping as we get relegated.
The flip side is that people clap and go wild when things go right on the pitch, it's chicken and egg. The team doesn't do well because loads of people clap.

They will have the financial backing as well, could be in the premiership for a few years. Quite the opposite to us.
