I think the recent comments made regarding hoofball/"I don't play hoofball" and fans booing is a sign that he knows the wheels are coming off.
As far as I know the players aren't very fond of him so it is probably a matter of time now before the rocket man departs, if he can't get them to play for him he is fucked.
Fans have begun to turn in larger numbers too and with season ticket season in full swing, the club will act at some point.
Anyone know how long his contract is?
You can see the players frustration with his tactics, sorry, their tactics, it's nothing to do with him. Can't blame them to honest. We'll go three at the back on Saturday and it'll all go to absolute bollocks. In his post-match interview, Hopkin was asked whether the long ball was his preferred tactic or that the players weren't following instructions. He swerved the question like a good politician. In the past he has criticised his players for not playing to his instructions so we can all draw our conclusions from his swerve. Unfortunately the interviewer (Thornton?) didn't follow it up with a supplementary in an attempt to get a better response. And the moment was lost

And the moment was lost hopkin has been given a get out of jail free card by Rahic making a complete fuck up of things but he’s in danger of giving it away with his tactics. If we go down fighting and playing to our strengths then HopkinS can blame Rahic for leaving us up shit creek without a paddle, instead fans are turning on him because of what he said at the beginning of January regarding transfers and his idiotic tactics. If we lose on Saturday playing the same way then the atmosphere will be toxic again.

If we lose on Saturday playing the same way then the atmosphere will be toxic again. He certainly did have a get out of jail card. But for whatever reason, he didn't make the most of the transfer window and now it's his squad and his tactics which will determine where we are playing next season. Despite the early season issues with Rahic and Collins the lapdog, most fans will now look to Hopkin to deliver and get us into 20th position or better come the end of the season. He was found wanting again on Saturday and I suspect that using same tactics next Saturday and the weeks after will deliver the same result.

I'm still really quite cross about Saturday's embarrassment. Butterfield, O'Brien, Payne and Ball, our most talented players, bypassed by that tactic. If HopkinS didn't want them to do it he'd be raging on the touchline and forcing changes or else. The fact that he let it carry on right up to the final whistle tells you it's what he wanted. How could you want that? How could you think it might suddenly work after failing virtually the whole game?

Then went on about our five chances, that he obviously didn't expect us to score either. He set up for a nil all draw at home against Fleetwood.

Hoppy will try the same tactics with the same group of players against another team who have also read the Barton coaching manual 'How to Play Against a Relegation Squad with No Pace and No Width'. And if the result finishes the same way, he'll try it again the following game against another team. Until finally he gets the result he expects through a bit or luck or good fortune. But by that time our season will be over!

Did anyone read that interview with PP released recently? Didn't mention his time with us much but did mention that he always plays to his squad strength. HopkinS isn't doing that. It's so lazy. Knock it long, hit the channels, kick and rush. At least PP had a player or 2 to suit the strategy. Dogshit.

Think he signed a two year deal so end of next season. The thing is that with the amount of shit who are under contract for next season we’re pretty fucked regardless of who’s in charge and what division we’re in. Yep agree..add to that the likelihood that there will be no Payne, O’Brien and I imagine Ball, if we get relegated, we could be in for a difficult season regardless of what division we are in

It’s been a while since we had a right good relegation fight. Really we should be thanking them. I’d rather that, than the meaniningless reassurance that mid-table mediocrity brings you.....

And having 6,000 fans rattling around an deserted Valley Parade has a strange lure to the gompers of our fan base. Utterly fucking depressing.

This is only my opinion but the fans job is to hold the club to account and is definitely not to throw good money after bad. Blindly supporting no matter what does not improve the club and in the long run does more damage than good. Fans like McKeown (although I have warmed to him) and Thornton peddling the club mantra does fuck all to help the club. Expect and demand better.

Honestly, does anyone want to spend their afternoons watching that shite in the khazi league? It was bad enough last time. I think for a large proportion of our fan base it just gets them out of the house for a couple of hours. Valley Parade reeks of mediocrity and we have fans who embrace it. Fucking gompers.

I think this is a fundamental problem with the cheap season tickets. They've brought in people who aren't City fans. Remember those cock ends who said they used to support Leeds and Newcastle but they were priced out so came to City? They don't care whether we're good, bad or indifferent. They just want a cheap day out with the kids, cheaper than the cinema etc etc That's why there's an acceptance to just accept shit. The day trippers are outnumbering the hardcore so it's just diluted VP and it's just mundane.

Our decent players won't be here next season, the loan players don't give a fuck. Even the walk to the ground is fucking depressing. The gompers don't see the bigger picture, they just masturbate themselves to a frenzy over any mention of the #bantamsfamily. Fucking league 2 beckons and we have to watch HopkinS hoofball take us down.

I think you lot and most of our fans need a reality check. There were spells on Saturday where we were playing football. Those times Caddis was well forward, out wide, what options did he actually have? Ball, Payne, LOB weren’t showing for it. They weren’t in the box either.
Those counters we had. Layed to waste because of poor movement, lack of tempo and bad decision making.
Our squad is so hideously unbalanced though we can only get results by playing football. But we’re no good enough to carry passengers and we need 7s/8s across the board to get results. The players we have aren’t consistent enough for that. We can’t “switch it up” because we’ve no wingers, no shit houses. So up against a team of well organised big bastards we’re just not going to get through.
All this “no plan B” shit is bollocks. The lack of variety in the squad means anything other than plan A will never work. Even plan A is big ask for this shower.
I’ve forgotten what point I was making but I’m posting this anyway. Oh no, it was something like if you think we could’ve passed and ballerina’d our way through Fleetwood on Saturday you have lost your marbles.

Oh no, it was something like if you think we could’ve passed and ballerina’d our way through Fleetwood on Saturday you have lost your marbles. What, so it was the correct call to keep punting it to Miller either in the middle for the centre half to win or down the line to chase hopelessly? Absolute bollox. We've got footballers in our squad that have made it by being footballers. To suggest that a team of ogres, time wasters, and dark arts types should have them beat before the game kicks off disrespects their talent massively. It's HopkinS' job to scout the opposition and suggest how we play. It's also his job to change it mid game if it isn't working. I'd also suggest that it's absolutely paramount that he uses our best assets to the best of their ability by actively encouraging people to give them the ball rather than launching it over their heads.
