Time to get excited.
What a depressing signing.

And we’re off:
‘Great character in the dressing room’. if anybody needs me I’ll be heading for the woods with a stool and a length of rope.

It's a disgraceful signing, he's wank and anyone that thinks otherwise is quite clearly in the Edin Rahic camp of knowing football.
Yes i know edin got rid of him but the point stands

This smacks of Julian doing a mate a favour, there's no way Hopkin did this of his own accord

Odd signing, I’m not too fussed - he’s better than much of what we have on the bench, but really we need players to improve out first 11. Time will tell if his second spell will amount to much.

Who is Clarke going to play instead of or are we really signing players for the bench when fighting relegation?
Sign first teamers then the old first teamers drop to the bench thus strengthening both the first team and the bench.
Clarke is a woeful, pointless signing.

Billy Clarke was Shit two years ago, he has barely played since, so I assume he's no better. Of all the ex players we could have signed, he would have been bottom of the list.
Why are we so Shit at transfers.

Billy Clarke clearly loves the club. Why else would he miss a sitter to 'save' us from championship football

Clarke hit a real purple patch for us at one point but was mainly a passenger playing too deep and leaving his strike partner isolated. He's not been getting games so he won't be sharp and he's 3 years on from that purple patch.
He's probably a good reserve to have if Payne is injured but if that happens we're fucked anyway. Could he play Ball's role on the right? No way. He'd be a Poundshop Payne if he starts there too.
Good bench option but as stated we need first 11 improvement.

He seems to have a purple patch in his first few games for a new club. Fans then get the idea that he’s quality and won’t let it go, even after two full seasons of shite performances. Not sure if it’ll work for us as we’re not strictly speaking a new club.

Mercifully he’s blocked us. We can feel justly proud.

Not sure if it’ll work for us as we’re not strictly speaking a new club. Our fans are impressed if a player can control a football, drop a shoulder and turn a defender a couple of times. That's been the benchmark of a player who's about to be the next best thing as far back as Shaun Murray for me. Oh they're just unlucky with injury, we're not playing to their strengths, he's not fully fit, that pitch was against him, defender kicked lumps out of him, his strike partner isn't good enough to understand his vision etc etc. Payne is the best hole player I've seen in a City shirt who can actually create, beat a man and score. The fact that he's a bit greedy is a benefit to the team overall because the person he might pass to is considerably shitter.
