Did Edin really think we had resale value from those German signings? How the fuck did he think we recoup any of that in terms of sales? We have no assets. What a spectacular cunt. he didn't care he was probably paying himself a chunk for being their agent

Chill lads. Tyrell Robinson, Omari Patrick, Shay McCarten. There's our £2m+ right there when we sell them on. All part of the plan. Will HMP Armley have the budget for Tyrell?

Today's Parker article mentions the sell on fee we'll get when McBurnie is sold might be enough to balance the books. Must be 10-20%.
What would he go for? 10 million?

Rangers interested but the figure mentioned was £4 million.. Hopefully a bigger club south of the border such as Burnley or similar will come in for him. Dave Baldwin rates Oli.

Xander McB was adamant that there wasn't a sell on, just incentive based add ons for goals and appearances. But he's worth way more than £10m in the present market. Young British striker banging them in like there's no tomorrow for a mid table championship club?

I could see a club like spurs taking a punt on him. Big jump, but they invest in young players and they need another striker who can deputise for Kane.
Or maybe someone nearer mid-table, like Bournemouth.
Fair johns to Rupp for covering the overspend - though he's accountable. But next season worries me. If we go down, it'll be horrendous. But even if we stay up, who do we actually have still contracted for next season?
By my reckoning its:
O'Donnell - contracted to summer 2020 Eoin Doyle - contracted to summer 2020 Sean Scannell - contracted to summer 2020 Joe Riley - contracted to summer 2020 Hope Akpan - contracted to summer 2020 Kelvin Mellor - contracted to summer 2020 Tyrell robinson - contracted to summer 2020 Anthony OC - contracted to summer 2021 Ben Wilson - ? Jake Reeves - contracted to summer 2020 Connor Wood - contracted to summer 2021 Eliot Goldthorp - contracted to summer 2020 Omari Patrick - contracted to summer 2020 Towie - contracted to summer 2020
Anderson, Wood, Colville, Clare, Jones, Devine, Caddis, Chicksen, Nkp, McGowan
So a lot of the shite are leaving in the summer - hopefully. The one's that are problematic are Towie, Riley, Reeves and Patrick. I can see Doyle and Scannell being moved on in the summer for financial reasons.
Massive rebuild needed in the summer.

I’ve been saying this for a while. There are actually 13 players under contract for next season. They are: Wright Riley Scannell Reeves Patrick Mccartan Gibson Robinson O’Donnell Mellor Wood O’Connor Doyle We need to move on at least five or six of those who simply arent going to play under Hopkin, and who the hell is going to take them?

If season ticket sales are shite (distinct possibility) and we go down (another distinct possibility) then you can only imagine advertising revenue will decrease, merchandise, programmes, food, drinks etc will all take a huge hit. Less away fans too.
With all of that loss plus the wages we're signed up to pay out I think admin is a possibility if not probability. Even if we stay up we're going to be fucked financially.
Sad we have to hope that Oli gets sold for loads to bail us out.

Gompers will gomp, we’ll all go ##bonkers with #reconnectwithcity and whatever happens it’ll be the naysayers’ fault for not clapping hard enough. Relegation or not, the future’s bright, the future’s corporate sound bites- #911, or whatever the legends gang are called.

What's the difference to hoping Oli gets sold than when fans were stropping that Cleverley didn't move in a big money January transfer to Everton. Gompers always hope for this shit: glad our crop of quality kids (Green, Cleverley, Wisdom, Delph) are now too old to inspire the 'DO WE HAVE ANY CLAUSES'-type posts, but then again I bet some still ask that about Nahki. Tinpot shit. Hopefully McB is the last in that generation, and any good kids actually play for City more times than they played at Chester on loan (McBurnie).

We’ve got a young lad in the youth setup now who’s supposed to be a prospect. Mambo number 5 or summat he’s called. Don’t know where he plays, but fuck it - give him a go. Can’t be any worse than some of the shit we’ve got.

That's him. We've gotta give him the number 5 shirt. 'Replacing number 3 Adam Chicksen, ladies and gentlemen, this is Milambo, number 5'. It'd be the highlight of the season.

£2m deficit to be covered by Stefan. I assume that he’ll want to recoup that when he sells up. Combine that with the fact that he wants back the over inflated fee that he paid for the club in the first place and he’s going to find us almost impossible to sell.
Also, Rhodes says next year we want a breakeven budget. Well with most of the overpaid shirkers still under contract for next season I just don’t see how we’re going to manage to do that and build a competitive squad at the same time regardless of what division we’re in.
Interesting times.
