I've not included Pickford for obvious reasons.
Who's been our most talented player in recent times in terms of raw ability?

Between Payne and Wells for me. Payne’s class is obvious at this level and Wells, in that last season with us he was an unbelievable predatory finisher. It was like when people edit players on FIFA to have silly stats.
Although maybe it should be Wells as he was actually our player..

It depends. If we’re talking most talented as in most skilful I'd probably go for Payne. Centre backs aren’t generally known for their silky skillset but as far as standing out in their position goes I’m voting for Burke. That fucker made defending look like a piece of piss.

Burke wasn't ours, Payne's not ours.
Meredith for me. Easily as good at his job as Cullen is at his.
Also, no wyke? No Clarke? Clarke had some teckers.

Reach wasn't ours, Cullen wasn't ours.

Wells wasn't great, technically. Effective, yes. A goalscorer, quick, so you can see why he's worth money and gone onto bigger things. But in terms of pure technical ability, its between Cullen and Payne.

Wells. Pretty much guaranteed a goal every other game from him. Technically he wasn't brilliant but his goals got us promoted and we hadn't had a goalscorer since Thorne.
