They're unbeaten so far but have plenty of injuries. We have plenty missing.
4-1 Mansfield. Hobhead with a consolation header in the 94th minute.

New loanees take the place of Wilson in the squad. No Cook, Pattison or McDonald.

Apparently it's a hard fought game... Lucky to come away with a point.
Is it fuck... It's shit... Game isn't even finished yet.
I hate our fans. They're blinded by something... Absolutely blinkered.

In the Premier Legaue, for most teams they only aim is 'don't get relegated' and anything else is a bonus, so most teams will happily try to nick a goal and play out for draws.
Applying that approach in League 2 and you're a complete fraud.
'Good point away from home' 'Not many will take points off Mansfield' '2 home games coming up now'
Give over. Its boring, miserable and we're joint lowest scorers in the division which speaks volumes.
Why can't we ever find a manager who just wants to try and be adventurous to some extent? It's dinosaur after dinosaur and each one sucks out more and more what little enthusiasm I have left for the sport.

Going for a draw against a side missing half of their team is criminal.

Going for a draw against a side missing half of their team is criminal. Ever playing for a draw in the 4th division is fucking criminal. Blaze of glory or nothing. At least we'd get our money's worth

It's dinosaur after dinosaur and each one sucks out more and more what little enthusiasm I have left for the sport. Four goals scored in six games is worrying. People will naturally point to Cook’s lack of goals but it runs deeper than that. His season of a lifetime masked the fact that it’s our style of play that the root cause. Hughes won’t change and Cook won’t score like that again. We’re in trouble now because we’ll struggle for goals all season and Hughes has seen fit to swap a miserly defence for a porous one. This is not a good squad or manager and all that remains for us to find out is just how bad a combination it is. This could get ugly yet.

This is not a good squad or manager and all that remains for us to find out is just how bad a combination it is. This could get ugly yet. The odd 2 or 3 goal win aside - and there's been hardly any over the 80 or so games Hughes had had - nearly every game follows the same pattern. We don't score many, don't look like we're going to score many and if we get a result we often nick a goal and sit on it or see out a draw from about the 60th minute onwards. Laboured and a grind. MH can't identify a striker at all - look at his forward signings. Oliver, Young, Derbyshire, ... his strikers are shockingly bad and it's no wonder we look chronically poor in front of goal across the whole squad. It's been 18 months of it. He's not going to change and start trying to play even just slightly more adventurously. Cook and Lewis aren't saving his bacon this time and the transfer window is going to be exposed badly. Given a choice it's much easier and enjoyable to be doing something else and checking the scores every 10 minutes or so than spend £50-100 and most of my Saturday on an away day.
