Just seen Brewster at Liverpool being chased by Sheffield utd and for a while now theres a pattern emerging thats seeing a lot of premiership clubs buying up the big clubs unwanted academy talent at inflated prices with the miilions they've recieved from the TV deals. Usually around the 20 to 25 million mark which seems to be a bench mark figure. The business model looks to be a belter, create an over flow of potential talent that effectively funds the transfers you want to make. Clubs coming up or who've been up a season or two seem to spending around 50 million or so on players, £10 million is looked at as some sort of bargain but for a player who's only interaction with the first team will be some cup games.

The whole system is so ridiculously stacked in the rich clubs favour. Each new FA rule just makes it clearer how they only really want 20-30 clubs to be professional.

Chelsea had 43 players out on loan last season.

That's a fucking joke.

Yeah, I can see the benefit from their point of view. It's just a ridiculous state of affairs that clubs can stockpile players like that.
