That’s what it’s all about.
But in answer to Hobhead, yeah I remember when we were reserved and understated when remembering 85. Didn’t make a big deal about it, or expect anyone else to. Just did our minutes silence and the service on the 11th. No fucking hoodies or chants or applause in the 57th minute.

It got out of hand when that company wanted to put their company logo on that flag for Wembley. I think the hoodies started then too.

It pisses me off beyond belief. It smacks of ‘Liverpool get more coverage than us’ so we’ll brand ‘the 56’ and we can show how much we care. I’ve said it before, but the hypocrisy of the 56 minute is galling. If I remember correctly the first time the 56th minute thing was done was at Wembley against Swansea and at 56 minutes and 23 seconds it was soon forgotten when Swansea scored. I got pelters for not standing up in that minute against Northampton- why? It’s important to show we care- publicly so everyone can see, and rate us out of 5 in terms of our compassion.

Exactly, it’s become a grief wankfest. I know what I saw and how I felt and how lucky I am not to be on a list of names. I dont need to wear a hoodie or post on social media about it to prove anything to anyone. And yeah I know I’ve just done that, but I’m trying to make a point here m8s.

There was no need for Bradford fans to enter the pitch, the only ones that tried were retards. The police did a good job of keeping them off. Wimbledon fans had a reason to come on the pitch as their team had pulled off an improbable stay in league 1. They may well be retards. But seeing some speccy four eyed power tripping cunt laying into some kid with his truncheon is hardly gonna go down well. I was sat a few rows away and saw one copper leap into the stand and try to pull someone out at random. I don't begrudge Wimbledon fans their 'fun', but you cant have two sets of rules for two sets off fans. The way they surrounded and obstructed access to the changing rooms was surely more of a security risk yet not one copper in sight. Too busy beating up 12 yr old gompers for wanting a selfie with Bowyer I was sat behind the goal where we always sit. Saw the whole thing. Act like a twat get treat like a twat.

Me too m8, but no offence I care more than you because it affected me more than you. Probably.

After the silence yesterday it occurred to me that wearing a flat cap and a hoodie with ‘56’ on it just isn’t enough to show how emotional and uber I am. Putting a black ribbon photo on Facebook doesn’t seem to cut it either, can anyone offer any advice on what else I could do? Thanks in advance. You could write an angry tweet about the pyro one of the Wimbledon fans let off on the pitch. Can't beat a bit of faux outrage about a pyro, you'll be drowning in likes and retweets.

Anyone else remember when we were classy and reserved in grief? The very sound of the phrase ‘the 56’ really grates on me. I fucking hate ‘the 56’ as a shorthand reference to the fire tbh. What about ‘the 100s’ who got injured? What about ‘the families’? What about ‘the poor fuckers in the Police & fire service who had to deal with the aftermath’? The ‘people who were there but got out ok’? The ‘doctors and nurses’? Just because Liverpewl campaigned for ‘justice for the 96’, why do we have to reduce our own tragedy to the people who died? It affected far more people than that. Anyway, I parked up at 2pm yesterday, then remembered it was a 5.30 kick off, so I fucked off home. I was only going for the minutes silence anyway, I’ll just have a quiet moment next Saturday instead. I’ll make sure I tweet about it though. You can't have a quiet moment next week, it had to be yesterday or it doesn't count. Something about disrespecting the dead.

I wheel this out every year, league Cup final day I saw a grown man in a boozer with "56" painted on each cheek. Not his arse cheeks before anyone asks. He had a w painted on each one of them.

I tried a couple of pubs on the Cup Final day but they were full of mutants who look like they frequent The Kop so I didn't stay for a drink. Had a pint in the ground instead.

By the way, how shit was Hanson..... League one player next season. Single handedly kept Wimbledon up, took Sheffield Utd to the championship, Premiership defenders in back pockets. Presence m8.

I have woken up early especially but Twitter, and Facebook for that matter, is awash with them- most posted just after midnight, and even some just before. Now I’ll just look like a bandwagon jumper.

It’s not for me to say what folk should be doing regarding the fire, people deal with stuff in different ways, a few words here and there, fine...But the changing of the avatar some are doing seems very disingenuous.

Now I’ll just look like a bandwagon jumper. Staying off social media today. Urgh. Good idea. Seems to be a oneupmanship contest of who’s got the best ‘56 tattoo’. I’m lucky. I was only 5 at the time, so whilst I understand the horror, I haven’t been scarred by it like some have, so I can’t pretend to be deeply moved beyond the extent that any compassionate human being would, so I won’t pretend otherwise. It troubles me the way that some are clearly hawking for ‘likes’ where this topic is concerned.
