We could employ Klopp or Guardiola and it would be ‘meh’ at the moment. I have nothing remotely to get excited about at Valley Parade as it currently stands. Might get a semi on if we are 20 points clear at the top at Christmas. 20 points clear in league 2 wouldnt get me near. I didn't celebrate beating Northampton at Wembley it was an embarrassment to be in that league, and next season will be the same. And our gompers will see being 20 points clear of bottom place as a success League 2 is our spiritual home.

Should be a safe pair of hands next season. I’d be more questioning of him as regards results this season, if I thought there was any chance of us challenging for something next season. But until I see anything different from him and this squad in the remaining games, or our ‘summer recruitment’ looks half decent, i’ll be expecting another struggle next season. My expectations have been greatly reduced. I’m also struggling to wipe the slate clean with Rupp, he’s partly fucked things up, no way I’m thinking he is totally blameless. I know it is accepted that Edin should take the lions share of blame, but at what point does it become ok to question Rupp’s judgement? When we are in the vanarama?

Ewan seems to think that we’ll be terminating a few contracts in the summer. If that’s true then it’s going to seriously cost. I hope that Rupp is ploughing some more money in otherwise our budget will be massively affected especially seeing as we’ve sold fuck all seasons tickets.

If he does have a real moral compass, then he'll put more money in next season to fix the mess he's created. He's promised to do so - which to me, includes taking a hit on shifting the dead wood, then giving responsible grown ups a competitive budget to build a proper side. Once he's done that, he can stand back with a clear conscience, because if that don't fix it, at least he can say he gave proper football people the tools to try and put it back together.

Our footballing performances dictate it. So does the manner in which we've run the club, so does our approach towards 'cheap tickets to watch shite' and so does the mentality of much of our fan base.

From my new seat on the set of Cocoon I was able to watch Drury's antics today. He seems to be taking the straight man role.

I like Bowyer but yesterday was a very strange one for me. I have no idea why he would shoehorn Doyle into a number ten role when he has zero creativity about him. Doyle ended up actually getting in the way of either Vaughan or Donaldson most of the time...if Bowyer recognises that in the next game then it will give me a bit more confidence in his ability. Another sign would be to see him bring in one, maybe two, centre midfielders as if he can’t see that Gibson and Anderson aren’t up to it, then he needs his head looking at.
I quite like 433 as a tactic but it only works if you have your fullbacks bombing on and dominant centre midfielders, without those he needs to go back to 442 and stick with it.

Didn’t expect to be sat here questioning line ups and tactics. I’m hoping he just bottled it, was desperate not to lose the opener and sees sense for the next game. On the other hand, he did this Doyle in the hole nonsense at Guiseley. I thought it was just banter.
Moshis steps to success:
Bench Doyle, Anderson Play two wingers, AS WINGERS And for fucks sake start Scannel
If we do this, and are still shit, then everyone can blame me.

I can see why he's reluctant to play with 2 strikers, 2 out and out wingers AND midfielders who are not capable of doing any defensive work which is what we're stuck with. I hate to say it but we need O'Cunt in there until we bring a DM in.
I'll go with:
-------------O'Donnell----------
Longridge--BRE-POC--Henley
Scannell-Palmer-AOC-Mellor
-------Vaughan-Donaldson----
That's a far better balanced team and nice and simple for the players to understand. Henley in his preferred position, Scannell on the wing where he can do his thing, Palmer with licence to get forward which is what he is by all accounts good at, Someone who can provide genuine defensive cover, Mellor who's done well at Right Mid and 2 up top which Vaughan and Donaldson will be accustomed too. You also don't have to play dross such as Anderson, Gibson, Doyle and Devine who were were reliant on vs Cambridge.

I'd agree with that field setting, Mellor at long on makes sense with his height, slip cordon looks pretty formidable too. Not sure about Vaughan at silly point, but he'll have to man up.

Is Henley a right or left back? I thought he was right.
