The whole club is a disaster, Hopkin is fast becoming the same. Is it because he is a genuinely a crap manager set in his one dimensional tactical ways or just a symptom of the whole situation he’s inherited? You’d have hoped he could have got a few more points from somewhere by now, the maulings against coventry and gills are paricularly concerning as they show the true lows this side is capable of achieving. Huge game verus Aldershot, a must win. If he can’t assemble a side capable of winning this then the writing has to be on the wall. But like others say we’re stuck with him now anyway. It’d be no surprise though to many if we lost this tie as we can see how poor this lot are. We’ll probably get a draw and lose at home in the replay for the ultimate humiliation, assuming there are still replays. We need to get knocked out at the first attempt to save us the humiliation of a drubbing in the replay at VP.

I hope we win, just to give us something, anything we can take forward into the league games. But I honestly have no expectation of us achieving this. There’s a part of me that feels if we go out, the only morsel of positivity is that at least it’s another damning result from this disasterous season that can be levelled squarely at the feet of our pathetic owners. Not that it’ll change anything of course, it just adds a bit more fuel to the fire.

We're shit the players are shit but the all telling thing is when he first came he even said he is a head coach. Thats his job he is a coach not a manager, he's contributed zero towards this team and had less points than the p.e teacher. I didn't expect a miracle worker but he's done nothing better than Collins. I voted miss and as usual I'm fucking right because I know football We must listen to you apparently. It would be a first if someone did

Why the fuck has he not brought in his own staff? Is he seriously happy with Abbott and Drury, the slightly more qualified PE teacher?
It's fucking me off now. Do he sit there in between our abortions of football performances and think 'yes, the staff I've inherited at the worst performing club in the country are definitely the best for me in this position'
This is killing us just as much as the lunatic in charge and the playing squad he brought in.
Reckon it had to be a condition of the job - he must have been told it was his around the time of the fleetwood defeat as long as he works with what he's got.

All I can think of is he only wants the current crop at Livingston who are contracted and he has no one else to turn to. Surely, there is better options than Abbott and Drury out of work???

If Edin rocks up with more fourth rate krauts, he's got to go? Surely?

Reading the T&A this morning, we've 'set new standards' apparently.
Yes we have David. Yes we fucking have.

Its bizarre comments like the above that makes me question him...add to that Bruenker starting games, the "exceptional" Chicksen comments and the god awful one dimensional tactics he employs..I don't think he is all that to be honest. He should have at least got them organised by now if nothing else but we still look very disjointed.

2 of the next 3 league games are against sides in the bottom 5, with a trip to 5th place Luton next Tuesday.
Realistically if we fail to pick up a point against Oxford and Plymouth will Hopkins job be on the line? The fans have been extremely patient but the grumbles over repeated questionable decisions are growing.
Hopkins just has to survive till January then hope he can make signings as soon as the window opens. A window like last January and we may as well throw in the towel.

We've been shite but on the positive side the 2 lads that he's actually brought in seem to be better than what we've got so he knows how to improve us given the opportunity. Best hope is that we scrape a few wins and draws together and keep in touch with the pack until he can ship a lot out and another load in. Business is always tricky in January as we know though.

Imagine being in Hopkin's shoes. You've had the best part of 2 games against shite conference opposition. You've never been in a wining position and extra time is looming. You turn to the bench to look at your options. Do you thrown on Brunker? Or do you give your head a shake, your balls a scratch, and do a bit of shouting?
You can't judge him until he's had a bit of time and money to have a go at sorting the fucking car crash he's inherited.

Even defensively - we give away such shit goals and you can't blame the manager.
Aldershot away - the lads left totally unmarked to score from a corner. At home, Devine shanks one straight to their lad. The sort of mistakes that even non-league sides punish.
And for all the pissing and moaning about the 'offside' goal that Peterborough scored, our centre backs totally switched off.

Did he though? 352 can be an attack minded system. LOB isn't defensive. I wasn't at the game, but I believe that we dominated possession and attempts on goal. So we weren't defensive minded. Our problem is that we lack creativity and penetration. Caddis looked decent the other day, but all of our other right backs look shit. Scannell would be a big help, but he's out. Chicksen on the left instead of Wood is baffling to be fair. But fundamentally, the issue is that we lack better attacking players. If he's allowed to bring in 3-4 quality players in January, I'll judge him more closely after that. Right now, all I see is him being given a load of shite tools to work with.

Rahic’s tenure has shortened the fans’ fuses, mine included. If Hopskinnys keeps picking Chicksen when it’s the one area we actually have got a superior alternative then he can get fucked.

It's because Wood's a young lad and perceived wisdom is that young lads can't play week in, week out.

Can't blame him for playing Chicksen last night, it's the sort of game you're supposed to play the odd reserve.
It's so hard to judge him. His tactics could be good, bad or indifferent and the likes of Chicksen and Wright would still screw it up. I think his tactics are shite, but keeping it simple makes sense when your captain is really really fucking simple.
Chicksen's got international calibre remember.
