Collins calls on the players to earn their money.
Gets fired.

Good. Needed doing. Should never have got the job.
Dread to think who’s next

Rahic's job is simple:
*bring in a credible headcoach/manager
*Back him in the transfer market
*Give him full control
The fact that Abbott and Drury are still here doesn't bode well though. Apart from the new headcoach/manager replacing Collins, it'll probably be business as usual.

Hopkins? Meh.
Still, he strikes me as the sort who'll happily plant one on Edin.

What a car crash of a club we now have. It was a woeful appointment. Those doing the appointing have no credibility at all.
Who the fuck is Ben Garner? David Hopkin did well at Livi with no money, he might fit the bill loosely, but then again maybe Livi was a one off. Certainly, it seems no obvious 'big names' would touch our club with a bargepole.

Feels good doesn't it, when you were right from the start. I wonder what caused the alarm bells to ring - for me it was the Harrogate game. You can't gomp and write friendlies off when you could see the pattern developing the longer pre season went on - being comfortably beaten by non league sides, but to have one put 7 past you is inexcusable. A defeat so poor in it's manner you wonder if that was the penny dropping moment, when the owners realised they'd made a shocking mistake. Don't know anything about Hopkins style, but we're desperately in need of organisation and structure. And hopefully a new captains and Wright will be benched to fuck.

I'm not happy it's come to this. Should never have happened in the first place. In some ways I'll be pissed off if the same sacks of shit on the pitch suddenly find some magic form all of a sudden. It was a possibility back in January when they brought on Grayson on a short deal. Fucked up when he left, wasted preseason then hung Collins out to dry. 4 managers in 8 months. Fucking hell. Might have been in Matter of Heart but I've heard/read somewhere Edin going on about stability, continuity, not being able to progress if you keep changing the manager and so on. Including temps, Hopkin will be our 6th manager since R&R bought the club just over 2 years ago. Parky legged it, Stuart got sacked, Abbo kept the seat warm while we waited for Grayson who refused to commit and then legged it at the end of the season, Collins got pushed into a job he never applied for and after 77 days and 6 games got pushed back out again. We go again. Again. If it's Hopkin, good luck to him - he'll fucking need it. When we appointed the 5th, Rahic had the nerve to say this: "We are convinced that to build something over a longer-term, we need stability, with the right people in key positions. Therefore, we have placed our faith in Michael, Greg, and Martin, who have each committed to a three-year contract." He's a classic self-serving bullshitter. You can't expect his words to match his actions because he'll say whatever's convenient at the time, and then go on to do whatever is convenient at the time.

I wonder what caused the alarm bells to ring - for me it was the Harrogate game. Pre season was shambolic but the first real sign of alarm bells for me, was the Burton home game. Barnsley was shit, but I put it down to Barnsley being good. Macclesfield was a poor result but we're always shit in the up. But the Burton game, even though we won, was abject. No sense of organisation or game plan, with or without the game. It was more than just a poor performance - all the poor bits from the previous games seem to be confirmed and our lack of direction looked to be cemented. The Wycombe game confirmed it.

Continuity and stability - them proceeds to eliminate everyone fron the Parkinson era, then everyone from the McCall era; players, staff and general day to day employees of the club. Then has the audacity to say they're bringing the right people in and hire someone like Collins.

Didn’t take long for our fan base to go back to full retard mode, absolving Rahic of any blame in a manager getting the sack after 6 games. You couldn’t make it up but at least the golden nuggets are beginning to reappear.
