I was walking down the steps of Block D as we scored our goal and not even that kept me inside the Ground. Utter shite. Outplayed for half hour by Warsaw. Home for 9 with a cup of Yorkshire's finest. Tough guy eh? In it bruv

I'd sooner we got a different manager and backed him. you clearly do not know football, we have one of the most successful league 1 managers here currently who if backed will get us promoted.
its not his fault he's got to work with the dog shit team the transfer committee served up to us.
grayson stays and gets backed we go up. simple really.

I don't like his style of football, and I don't want to watch it every week. simple really. I'm also not as convinced as some that he absolutely will get us promoted if backed, but that remains to be seen I suppose.

I understand what Ricc's saying, but its hard to judge Grayson in any way given the dog shit he's had to work with.
I remember watching his Preston side and thinking that they were a better, more effective model of what Parky had. Defenders who defend, do the basics well, consistently. A balanced midfield with bite and guile, that lad (Johnson?) who could play a bit and pull the strings. And a blend of movement, technique, pace and finishing up front. Beckford and Garner.
That's what it needs at this level. Being solid, controlling the possession and flow of a game, strong on set pieces and having 2-3 quality attacking players who'll get goals. You need to be able to win when you're not at your best and not give cheap goals away. And half to 2/3rd of the season is played in shit weather and on dodgyish pitches. Doesn't need to be pretty.
Give me a functional, solid side with a couple of quality attacking players and that'll do me.

To be fair, I am trying to 'have my cake and eat it' here - I don't want Grayson to stay, but if he does leave I absolutely would use it as a stick to beat Rahic with.

Think they bought Johnson from Villa for quite a bit. I agree it's like a slightly more attacking Parky style. Parky liked 2 dogs in midfield working their nuts off whereas Grayson wants that Johnson, Dack or Otzumer in midfield creating a bit which makes things more interesting to watch. A bit of variety rather than route 1. Trouble is that those players cost money. We'll see if he's backed.

I've got a German friend with impeccable English but he couldn't get his head around what 'have my cake and eat it' means. I laughed.

Oztumer was out of contract last summer.
Still, we've spent plenty on transfer fees. Which admittedly suckered me in at first.

I'll add it to my one where my german girlfriend said "Hi Mrs Bacon, mmmmmm, what a stink!"

Rahic spends a season paying good league 1 wages to good league 1 players and gets to Wembley after being unbeaten at home all season. Rahic then decides to change tac and spends his second season paying shite players shite wages and we lose 10 at home, miss the playoffs by a relative mile and end up pissing the season away playing hoofball in a half empty stadium. Nice one.
