I wish John Hendrie would spill some truths in the paper or something. that said, no one would believe him, dismissing him as bitter, and peddling conspiracy theorys to destabilise the club. Look at the responses (and likes they recieve) to my post about Doyle on Twitter. Some City fans are incapable of hearing anything negative about the club. Fingers in ears and la la la la la.....

Bantam Talk is already thoroughly pissing me off.
provided the link to Mezza practically begging for a new contract as proof we could have kept him had we really wanted to - that's been completely dismissed as rubbish and he'd not have signed regardless.

Just to put our current woes into perspective, this was our bench during the last game of the pp/lawn era
Mark Marshall Josh Morris Reece Burke Tom Thorpe Steve Davies Paul Anderson Cracknell
Compare that to our reserves now in Poleonand Mcarten and there's a huge difference, even on the subs bench. Shows how far we've regressed and that's not even taking into consideration the quality we had in the first 11 (Cullen, Meredith, Mcardle etc)

The amount of shite I'm seeing on Twitter is astounding.
A large proportion of our fanbase are happy to see us plod along trying to develop youngsters. One even going as far as saying they'd rather not get promoted than push the boat out.
Some of our fans are absolute fucking dick heads. No ambition whatsoever. I'd rather go under whilst showing a bit of ambition than fuck about with the likes of Omari Patrick and Callum Gunner etc in the lower end of division 3.
Fucks sake.

I was invited to watch Arsenal on Sunday. Wenger in/out aside, it makes you wonder why you fucking bother being associated with such a gomping hotbed. They played some beautiful football at times compared to the shit we witness. And the women in their fan base - quite a lot - were well worth looking at. 'Well fuck off and support man city then', you know I might just fucking do that one day when Bantam Gomperism is too much to bear.

I think attitudes to supporting football clubs is changing with younger generations. My lad is 7 and through friends etc, most of the kids around that age bracket - you ask them who they support and they'll give you 2 or 3 different clubs. They have multiple different shirts and their favourite players are the ones tied to Bradford City - they're the household names we see on the TV and PlayStation games. Its a saturated market, its an entertainment industry. I think we'll see less and less of the tribalistic attachment to one lower league club. I think you'll get families choosing to maybe go to 4 or 5 games across the likes of Man City, Liverpool, Man United than you will enduring a season of shite down at Valley Parade. From an entertainment point of view, that's where it's heading. I'm actually thinking to myself, is it worth subjecting my lad to going down to City every week. What's enjoyable about it? I could easily get a couple of tickets to go to the Etithad and he could watch Aguero, De Bruyne, Silva. On a perfect pitch, football played by the best in the business, making it look easy. So yeah, maybe I'll fuck off there.

Part of the reason I'd be happy fucking around in division 3 with Omari Partick is that we're never gonna compete with Man City or Liverpool. What's the point in trying to get to the championship, what happens if we manage it? Try for the Premier? Then what? Unless we get bought by the Saudis, best we can hope for is to be Stoke, and that seems shit.
I'd rather we were Crewe or Exeter, and tried sumat different we could be proud of. Try having a team of kids, imagine if the next Wayne Rooney comes from Queensbury and starts playing for us at 16. Who couldn't get behind that, even if we weren't ever gonna win the league.
If they'd come n and just said they were gonna do that, I'd be all over it. But they said we'd be in the Championship in three years and that was always bollocks. Also Rahic just seems like an absolute bell end, and has no idea what he's doing and wont listen to people that do.
City's fucked.

I'd sooner watch Sunday league in the park than our sole ambition be to be proud of a few youngsters using us as a stepping stone. I'd give my left bollock to be as shit and boring as Stoke if it meant not fucking about playing Fleetwood, Plymouth, Accrington, Burton, Luton, Gillingham etc.

Why?
What's so good about being Stoke? Why is going to Crystal Palace and Swansea and fucking Southampton any better?
I don't even know what I want anymore. Up down and sideways all seem shit.

if our only ambition as a club is to produce a youngster or two that we can flog to the highest bidder we might aswell fold up now.

Full stadiums, decent football (from the opposition) sometimes. I'm just sick off being turned over at VP by shit teams who bring 50 fans and watching our supporters applaud the team off. It's tedious.

Decent away support, good atmosphere. Games against Leeds and Huddersfield with a hostile atmosphere. Players who are actually good to watch. Shove league 1.

Just had a look at the respective histories of the playoff teams and ourselves. In truth with our history we are over achieving, we really are a fucking tinpot outfit. We really aren't going anywhere are we? That bet for a relegation spot looks a no brainer at he moment.

I think the gap between the Championship and League One is getting wider every season. If Rotherham win the playoffs, then the 3 relegated from the Championship last season will have all gone back up at the first attempt. If City don't get there soon, then I can't see it happening for a long time, they're getting left behind.
Future?
No Future, as John Lydon once said.
