This isn’t just about him but also our transfer policy in general. I’ve named the thread after him because I think he above all highlights deficiencies in our recruitment process. His reputation was well-known as a player who will give you two or three good performances for twenty anonymous ones. Either we’ve scouted him for his odd few good games and signed him on the strength of them and/or we haven’t done our research because he’s turning out to be exactly as his reputation said he was - he’s kak.
Watching him toil away and throwing Chiksen, Patrick, Field, McCarten and to a lesser extent Reeves and Gillead into the equation makes me question whether our transfer committee/system is fit for purpose.
Stuart will be left carrying the van without a doubt but do our problems run deeper than the manager? What culpability should be laid at the feet of Abbott and Rahic? And finally, just how shit is Poleon?

I can't believe we have a fucking chairman who is actively involved in choosing players to sign (a German chairman, who has no experience of English football whatsoever, and his only "scouting" experience was with the fucking Stuttgart Kickers!!) and everyone seems to think it's a wonderful set-up. if it was anyone else, or even if it was ANY OTHER manager - hell, if this was Phil Parkinson in charge - people would be more willing to lay some blame at Edin's door. The chairman is there to look after the BUSINESS side of the club. the fucking players, and the team, and training and the fucking dressing room (I'm looking at you, Matter of fucking Heart DVD) are not in his fucking remit, thats down to the fucking "head coach" you have employed you stupid jumped up kraut shitter. if he looks at results, and how the team play and doesn't like it, he can make the decision to change the Head Coach, it still doens't mean he can scurry down to the dressing room, or to training to get involved. and he certainly shouldn't be dashing off to the German Sunday leagues and recruiting shite to force upon us, such as Lukas cunting Raeder, Rouven bastard Sattelmair, Lauchlan "who the frig am I" Barr, Josh "do I even exist" Growdowski, and Josef "where have you dug me up from" Hefele. just fuck off back to your ivory bastard tower, set a budget, and let Stuart McCall, and HIS management team distribute it as they see fit. if it doesn't work no one blames Rahic for getting rid of him and employing a replacement. fucking stupid, mental, random lower league kraut wannabe who happens to have some money and everyone thinks we've got the best owner in the world. what the actual fuck!!! and Dominic Poleon is absolutely fucking chronic.

And why the fuck haven't we gone into the European market it there's more value there?
What happened to making nice with Liverpool and Newcastle? Is Alex Gillead all that we get for fluttering our eye lashes and wearing the short skirt and heels?

He's fucking shit. A positive substitute appearance against Blackpool. Fuck all apart from a couple of goals since.
Greg Abbott is about as much use as a cock flavoured lollipop.

Another one of those, "he's not really a winger but he's not really a striker type player". A fair number of one v ones with the keeper and not scored one. Not as good as Hiwula.

Clarke and Hiwula were better options than Poleon and McCartan.

If we'd retained last season's side, we'd be top now.

The thing which concerns me is that this squad was built after we'd recieved roughly 1 million in additional income (player sales, Wembley appearance, Wells money etc). The budget would have probably been significantly less without and the squad at the moment is hardly anything special. Last seasons squad was better and even that was down to the players scouted under PP
