plays some ok stuff but some of it makes me want to slit my wrists or watch Heartbeat and get the full 1950s feeling. What the fuck is wrong with a bit of ballsy music to get the blood rushing Most people don't get into the ground till ten to three so in the grand scheme of things no one really gives a fuck. Me and my lad get in around 2.30 and we agree, get some tunes on to get the crowd going, the atmosphere before kickoff is fucking pathetic, bang some Metallica on or summat. Wherever i may roam the choice of walk out song of my young un. Reminds me of Roy Keane's book where he talks about first getting the Sunderland job when they were deep in the mire. The first game was a big one (can't remember who it was against but it was a six pointer). In the dressing room he was waiting to see who the leaders would be and how they got psyched before the game. And then when the music came on in the dresssing room they put on dancing queen by Abba. He knew then that they were fucked. Nothing gets me pumped on my gym play list like a bit of S Club 7.

We should come out to this specifically the part from 1:20 on: Now you're talking. The most spine tingling entrances I've ever experienced have been Sunderland away when they played followed by Ready to Go, republica. And at old Trafford when they walk out to Rockys Fanfare - bit cheesy but when the bass kicks in you think 'fuck me'. Never experienced anfield but that must be special too. It's about timing though. Last season at home to Bolton the pre match atmosphere was awesome, it really started to ramp up but then the music killed it. For one day, if they'd sacked the music off and let the fans run with it, it'd have been a proper throwback to when atmospheres really were quality.

We need that 'clarrrrrrret.... ammmmber' song back.
I remember at Wycombe on a Tuesday at half time they played Guns n Roses, either Weclome to the Jungle of Paradise City, then after that The Number of the Beast by Iron Maiden. Fucking enjoyed that. She'd Utd have United by Judas Priest as their entrance music.
Just get something like Ace of Spades or Run to the Hills thundering out as the players come on.

I can't get over this. it's 2 days before the deadline.
our squad is so weak, with massive gaping holes in it.
our only centre back options are 2 left footers, one of which is 34 and has question marks over his ability to stay fit, or a back up option from the pub league in Germany who wouldn't get a game in the Conference. after that it's midfielders that COULD play there.
it's not fucking good enough all round, how has it come to this???

Long term plan, devloping youngsters for profit, bantams family etc. Gomp gomp The first thing Rupp said after the Wembley defeat was target for this season was automatic promotion. Well release some fucking cash then so we're not pissing desperate for sell on clauses and Checkatrade trophy win money. If McCall can deliver that with what he's been given it'll be a bigger feat than reaching the League Cup final and promotion in the same season. I can accept playing people out of position at the start of last season due to the upheaval - remember we couldn't even fill a bench for the first month or so? - but to be ill prepared for a second season doesn't wash for me.

Alledgedly nothing in the pipeline at all, might be a couple going out on loan. It's not to say there isn't anything happening because it's literally Rahic and Mason doing it all so there's nothing leaking out

I genuinely don't think we'll sign anyone.
well, no, we'll get a keeper on loan, but we won't sign a centre back, I'm convinced.
until we get another injury or suspension in september or October and end up signing someone thats still without a club on a short term deal.

TOP priority. nevermind the central defender we've needed for 10 weeks. we need a goalie to sit on the bench for 3 weeks, that's TOP PRIORITY now.

Are we only allowed to buy one player at a time or something?
For fuck sake, get both.
The problem is, the keeper will be a backup only. Not a decent one, to go into the team and replace Doyle. Do we still have Cracknell? Stick that cunt on the bench. Or whoever the youth keeper is.

We can only have a certain number of no-hopers picking up a few hundred quid a week, we're no Bury / Scunthorpe.

No way they're paying ten for Wells. circa 5 million I bet. He hasn't gone yet. We've heard this shit for weeks and weeks now and the fucker is still at Town. Whatever happens it won't make any difference to our transfer policy. It just means the Germans won't have to dip into their own funds for a year or two if he does move before the summer.
