Lewis has been both dire and excellent tonight. Without him it'd be 8 or 9. Shame this Williamson bloke wasn't a realistic option for us......... When was the last time we ever took a team apart like that? With a bit of luck and better finishing we could have conceded up towards 10 as they had that many clear cut chances. Said after watching the game on Saturday, a decent footballing side would have taken both teams to the cleaners, luckily there aren't many who can do it. Last night was how football should be in an ideal world, a manager wants to play fast pass and move football on a decent surface with technically ferior players against technically limited players and that should be the reward. I'd watched Williamson and how he set Gateshead up, he did the same last night just with a better class of player. At least we won't exposed like that against the agricultural Sutton United next Saturday. Back to a wank fest on twitter.

Yup, that’s why I’ve been saying we should get Williamson for, ooh, only the last 12 months. Instead we shit about with Hughes.
Ash Taylor, though. Wow. All the speed and agility of Stonehenge.

A defeat like that, with the possibility of it being much worse, has been on thr cards for a year or two now.
There was always a feeling a very mobile and dynamic side could rip us apart due to our general pattern of play, footballing skills, physical attributes of the players and limitations of the squad. We have 33 player or whatever it is but have got it totally wrong with the goalscorers. Cook especially is a shadow of last season, our set up just isn't working for him but the options to give him a breather him out are shockingly bad. We bet the house on him in the summer with a 3 year deal and he just hasn't been anywhere near that level.
Vadaine Oliver? Wouldn't be surprised if we never see him again.

Where the fuck is Vadaine Oliver? Disappeared off the face of the earth. It's clear Andy Cook isn't fit and didn't receive any service last night but even fully fit he wouldn't have made a difference.

Well Sparks will now have to pull his finger out of his arse.
The run by McDonald prior to last night was just masking the total unprepared shitshow at board level.
I mean a manager just doesn't get sacked after one result so Mark Hughes being sacked was something on the radar for a few weeks before he actually went and now we are a few weeks down the road so we have had the best part of one and a half months where we should have been seriously looking for a replacement and yet we are still it appears nowhere near having a replacement in till probably November now.
Amateur hour at best, total incompetence more realistically.
MK Dons, sack a manager and have a new one lined up ready to go. Say what you want about the franchise bastards but they seem to have some type of plan.

It's clear Andy Cook isn't fit and didn't receive any service last night but even fully fit he wouldn't have made a difference. Our primary strikers - Cook, Oliver, Smith, Derbyshire, Tulloch Such grim options if Cook isn't performing. Tulloch has looked good with the ball at his feet in fairness and there is a bit of spark there, but he isn't going to lead the line or fit into how we usually start games. We must have known Oliver would have been crocked when the transfer window was open and the failure to bring in a replacement was another big mistake. I don't know what the fuck anyone was thinking in the last 3 windows. When we desperately needed another quality striker to play up top with Cook, take some pressure off him or fill the gap if he's injured / needs a rest, and none of the signings we brought in are going to do that. Amazing when you consider what a great striker Leslie was and the ones he played with and against, then he couldn't spot a striker to save his life.

I just looked up Oliver.
Knee operation end of April Groin operation mid-July
Quote from Leslie regarding the latter
'Hugh3s continues to monitor the loan market to beef up his squad before the season kicks off.
But he has no plans to look at a short-term replacement for Oliver.
“We wouldn’t go into the market just because we’ve lost somebody for six, seven weeks or however long it is,” he added.'
Well here we are, nearly in November and 15 games in. Seems it's a lot worse than they implied.
I genuinely think that's the end of him. He'll come back and break down again in his first game.

He'll come back and break down again in his first game. Then sign for FGR and start banging them in.

I'd say we are about 5 to 6 weeks where a manager should have been looked at. Say 2 weeks prior to the Dinosaurs sacking and the time since and what do we have? Absolutely nothing. All the eggs were probably in the McDonald basket until last night with it being the cheapest option.

Last time we went after a manager under contract it was Derek fucking Adams, that'll put us right off doing it again.
