Bring him home. I've got the taxi (my van) waiting. Yet another young talent sullied and ruined by Neshead's dirty digit. The names Bennell. Barry Bennell.

What a spectacular plummet: Wonder what his day job will be. I'm not sure I'd trust him to ask if I want fries with that.

Its been his level for years You've got no level if you don't put any effort in. Waste of a shirt.

Wonder if Radcliffe FC have been so unprofessional as to sign him thinking he’s a forward only to discover in training he’s more of a wingback/right midfield. That would be too far fetched though. What a fucking club we’ve been.

Fuck me we've signed some shite over the last 5 years. When you look at the levels where most of our ex players are plying their trade it’s amazing we didn’t go down.

I think we've called the majority of them on here too. Because they were blindingly obvious. We seem particularly attracted to shite, journeymen strikers. Let's hope we've got that out of our systems for a while.

Because they were blindingly obvious. We seem particularly attracted to shite, journeymen strikers. Let's hope we've got that out of our systems for a while. Googling their record and finding they were a one in seven striker throughout their career would have most people concluding they weren’t a worthwhile signing. The powers that be down at City would see that and, despite them being a season or two from retirement, conclude that they ‘had something to prove’. It was idiotic and all those chumps who either backed that shite or, at the very least, wanted to wait and see are nothing more than a grifter’s dream. I used to wonder who out there fell for the emails from the Nigerian Prince. Watching City fans being so easily convinced that the likes of Delfouneso were suddenly going to turn into goal machines at the twilight of their thoroughly underwhelming careers made me think maybe they didn’t deserve to keep their life savings after all.

'Typical City fans writing them off before a ball is kicked give dem a chance FFS'
We write them off because any idiot can see they're terrible, awful footballers and it's a total mystery how some have sustained any type of career in the sport.
In a few cases we spend money on a good striker but then set up in a way that is totally alien to them, but in most other ones we bring in total disasters.
Guthrie, Samuels, Delfouneso, Lavery, Robinson etc... apart from the totally blind signings, how could anyone in good faith actually suggest us go within 100 miles of these players?

What's depressing is how we always called it before these players even put pen to paper. Journeymen players with a track record of relegation turned out to be losers. Who'd have seen it coming, eh. How many times were the likes of Richards-Everton relegated before they signed for us? Hope Akpan sank through the leagues without a trace, he's at Widnes and they're above his level too. But K-k-kurtis Guthrie is the one who, even now, really fucks me off, what a waste of oxygen.

But K-k-kurtis Guthrie is the one who, even now, really fucks me off, what a waste of oxygen. Didn't have the relegation team in 2018 come from relegated clubs? Akpan with 2 successive relegation before he came I think. Part of me actually felt sorry (slightly) for the likes of Guthrie, clearly not good enough even for Park Avenue. But then they could have said no like the guy years ago who turned is down because he didn't want the pressure of playing in front of big crowds. That aside, he epitomised just how poor and lazy our recruitment was and the lack of interest from our owner in wanting to invest. Certain managers should have made more of a stink about the level of signings they were having to make. It's effectively killed McCall's managerial career.
