Funny as soon as we started trying to play football we score and get on top of the game Pissing me right off is this. It’s so glaringly obvious and yet we still seem to play the hoof despite not even having a lump up front to try and get a head on it. It’s a dead tactic at the best of times and we’re playing it without the necessary tools. We play football and it works. We play the dinosaur hoof and we fail - it’s basic stuff. It simply has to be by instruction too otherwise the players would have gotten the idea by now that HopkinS doesn’t want them playing that way. HopkinS is getting more on my tits with every passing match. Of course it’s by instruction, just like McArdle was instructed to play a long diagonal hoof to Bargefeet...it is fucking shit. As for HopkinS, considering his stock was meant to be so high after his spell at Livingston, why was he unemployed up to him taking over here? He could of been waiting out for a bigger opportunity but then he takes the job with us....something doesn’t add up. Maybe the truth is that as soon as people look at his style, the level he had success, his arrogant stubborn attitude, his baffling decisions at times and they decide to give him a swerve. Fuck knows why to be honest but if he is the next best thing then why the fuck is he with this basket case?

Which means we aren’t booting him as we won’t have the cash to do so...we won’t want to be having Mickey Love, HopkinS and another on the payroll.

Fans wanking themselves off after a draw against the mighty Burton need a reality check. It was a battling display but we still have glaring weaknesses. No pace upfront kills us and a midfield that is still way to easy to walk through at times.

No pace upfront kills us and a midfield that is still way to easy to walk through at times. We’re also shite at defending crosses. We allow far too many to come in and when they do, our back 4 are shocking at getting their heads and bodies in the way to deal with it. Their first goal is typical of how we concede do often - player given time and space to get a ball into the 6 yard box and someone unmarked has an easy finish. Same with the first goal away to Barnsley. And watch us when we defend corners - it’s very rare that one of our players wins it in the air.

I never understood when you're adrift from safety as we are, you come away with a draw when you should have won and people say it was a great point, a deserved point.
I want wins now, not desperately clawing around for them in 10 games time when we're the turd in the relegation toilet trying not to be flushed.
You can imagine it now, 5 games left, staring relegation in thw face and a draw will still be a 'valuable point'.

Just watched the replay of their goal. Fair play to their centre half who spots an acre of space, sprints into it and crosses well. Why is there an acre of space though? Wood is playing left mid and has been dragged in to the centre leaving the huge gap that nobody covered. I'd suggest that's as a result of him not being a left midfielder really so playing out of position and isn't fully sure of the role. Also, the formation changes weekly so other players can't get used to their roles. O'Brien could/should have covered the gap left by Wood but these things take time to become embedded in a familiar system.
Got to put some blame on HopkinS who's had plenty of time to at least embed a system that the players can get used to.
