Newport were crap, no wonder they lost their last 7. Came to time waste and try to hit on the break, great to see them go in at HT 2-0 down. We were fine, played too many hospital balls at times. Why we’re fannies and not tied Pointon down already is mind boggling. Nothing else to say. Nice to end on a thumping win but ultimately futile SeE yOu nExT sEaSoN I found this approach really odd. Absolutely nothing to play for and the potential to spoil our day and all they did was sit back and time waste. Even when we scored they offered nothing. The two times in the first half they actually got at us and they nearly scored. If I was in that away end today I’d be fuming

Newport's 'keeper was a proper tubby little fucker. What a weird shape. Like some sort of modern-day Frankenstein creation.
Has anyone been impressed with a visiting team this season?

A decent performance against a dire side who were happy to finish up and head home.
It might only be a small thing but it was nice that there was no chanting, standing up or clapping during the game for the memorial game. That had crept into the final match in recent years and it's in very bad taste.
A fantastically observed silence at the start is what we should stick too. Not singing along to chants in the theme of the birdy song.
Unfortunately the crass hoodies are still worn.

I just realised that and came to post, fortunately when Pointon scored it would have been when everyone was about to stand up and applaud. Such a cringe moment every season. Imagine being remembered and marketed as a number. Then you have the ghouls who were tweeting photos of their '56©' merch. My young 'un went yesterday and was asking questions about why I gave her money to put in the bucket, what the memorial was for, what happened and where... asked me how many people died, when I told her she said 'so that's why it said 56 on the flag'. I'm so glad during the match that I didn't have to explain why everyone was standing up and applauding the dead and injured, after having a silence an hour before.

Instead we had morons tweeting “one of our own scoring in the 56th minute”. At least I didn’t see that till I got home.
